Mangaverse mangles!

This week I am stepping away from regular comics and stepping into the world of the Marvel Mangaverse.

Cyclops_Mangaverse_by_lokingard

Ladies and Gentlemen please say hello to Cyclops from the Mangaverse version of the X-Men.  This looks sooooo bad that words almost fail me here but through all that bad two things stand out so much that I must mention them. The first, how does Scott turn his head while wearing that should/head contraption ? Granted the "Visor" and hat do not appear to be attached to the shoulder pieces, but said shoulders seem to press right up against his face as if it were some sort of  medical restraining device.

The second piece of awful also falls into the  "I don't know how he moves category". That Abdomen to mid thigh metal guard he has on! I just can't see how he bends his legs in that thing ?  This outfit not only falls into the ugly department is also falls into the it doesn't make sense department. I can't believe I am going to say this, but I think that even Rob Liefeld can design better costumes then this!!!

Poll Position: Armorers Challenge!

bubblegum_crisis_by_tso2me-d33xv4f

This weeks Poll Position I ask you to pick from a list of Power Armor wearing heroes and villain to pick your favorite based on  whatever criteria matters most to you.

Your Choices are as follows. The Beetle, The Blue Beetle, Crimson Dynamo, Doctor Doom, Force, Guyver One, Lex Luthor, Rocket Red, Steel, and Tech Jacket.

These are mostly DC and Marvel characters, but there are a couple dark horses in there ( no pun intended). You may noticed I left a couple well known armor clad individuals off this list which I did for a reason. I did not want the popularity of Ironman and his ilk to slant the poll so I left them off.

Creator’s Club Poster

It has been a long time since I did the last Creator's Club Poster. I have a lot on my plate right now, so The Atomic Punk has offer his services to do the poster this year. I would like to thank him for doing so. So the following information is what he requires for him to do the poster. He has laid it out nicely so please follow his instructions. He has included a sample character and also wants me to include my recipes for Chibies.

Design a Chibi version of yourself. This can be a self-portrait, an avatar, or yourself in hero (or villain!) mode. No backgrounds, just the character. e-Mail entries as PNG Transparent files to freethespam@cox.net. Preferably, send the saved Text file so I can re-size characters for consistency.

Only one entry per HeroMachiner. Please try to limit any revisions or upgrades! More than likely, I will simply use your first submission. I will be accepting entries from February 28th through March 29th. With luck, I will unveil the Creators' Club 2013 poster in mid-April.

Please name your file as [your name]-[character name].[file extension] before you e-mail it. So DiCicatriz, for instance, would save his “Bayou Belle” character image as DiCicatriz-BayouBelle.png. He would save the Text as DiCicatriz-BayouBelle.txt.

Finally, have fun! Creators' Club is not a contest. It is an opportunity to show the world how you see yourself (or what you want the world to see).
