I made this poll as a semi-formal gathering of data to gauge the interest in particular categories. I am also interested in hearing specific requests in the discussion below, with the hope of expanding upon the conversation. Ultimately I want to use this as a guide for future item polls.

Ok guys, we're on to our final week of the Four Classical Elements theme and, therefore, on to the final element. Now this one is the most ambiguous of the four in terms of definition. Is it just the earth, as in the ground beneath our feet, does it extend to rocks and therefore mountains and the like, or does it go even further to include plant-life as well? I'll let you decide I think. It's more interesting that way.
As per usual, no limits on entries and the contest will close at midnight Saturday (blog time). Please read the contest rules before entering, have fun and good luck.

This week was quite close, only 7 votes (and seas) between the top two places. At this point I'd love to say that it was back and forth between the two all week, with the winner only pulling out ahead at the last minute, but that didn't happen. It was catch up game for everyone this week, as our winner lead from the start, never extending his lead too far but always comfortably in front. And that winner is Vampyrist for his Black Water. Congrats Vamp and well done to everyone who entered.

Ok, first things first, sorry there wasn't a COTW post last week. There wasn't a huge amount posted on the forums last week and that, coupled with a lack of time on my end, meant that I wasn't able to do one. As for this week, well, still not a huge amount in terms of stuff that was posted (so I won't be doing an Also Awesome), but I do have a bit of time, so here it is. And this week we are once again featuring Anarchangel, and, if I'm being honest, I'm a bit disappointed that I'm having to feature this on COTW rather than in the contest poll, because for whatever reason, double A hasn't entered it. No idea why. The costume is, as usual, really nicely designed, a few rough joins on some of the patterns around the neck and chest area but nothing too major. The pose really gives off a floating, free vibe, enhanced by the blowing capes. And I like the lightness of the colours as well, white and gold always work well together, especially on a character with a mystical, light style.

I will be extending last weeks caption contest by one week, meaning you have until next Tuesday at 5pm Eastern time to enter. The reason for this is because the turn out for the contest was rather low.
Which brings me to the second part of this Topic. Because of apparent waning interest in the contest of late I am considering shutting it down, if not for good at least for a good looooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnggggg break. I will think of some other content to replace it with but at this point the effort I put in to searching for pictures or Gifs to put up for the contest doesn't feel like it is worth it for the interest it seems to be generating. For that reason I think it may be time for a change. Feel Free to leave suggestion below on what you would like to see me replace the caption contests with.
