WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantOkaaaay! Herr D, are you trying to make an artist of me? LOL! As I said, I make this stuff up as I go along, but I really feel like elaborating on your story for the Amazon. How about some artwork from you with your story? That just screams “group shot” to me. Maybe the Amazon and the children, but I’m not there yet! I tried doing 2 characters together, (Big Deal and Test Subject 002), but scrapped it in frustration.
WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantOnly got through the first two pages before I had to comment. GREAT STUFF! I especially like Achilles, Zeus and Omniknight. I’m still having trouble with masking, but you seemed to nail it rather quickly! Keep it coming! And welcome to HM!
WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantWelcome! Great characters! What was your inspiration for the cosmic fox?
WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantAmazing covers, dude! ELEMENTAL WEREWOLVES??? What was the inspiration? I love ’em, especially the stone werewolf! Restoration Fox is very interesting; what, if any, is his story?
WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantGreat characters and concepts. I really dig Silver Star! Sorry, but I have to make one criticism: Spirit is really cool and has great potential as a character, but you basically have an extra dimensional entity fighting a gangster. I think you can do much more with his story. Great look with the translucent blue!
WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantGaia, Earth Mother, Mother Nature, Oester, Ester. At one time or another she has been known by all of these names. She prefers to be called what she was called in her native Tanzania. That name is African Violet. Whether she is truly the personification of Earth and nature or an exceptional meta-human is not known. All that is known of her is that she has probably the greatest regenerative powers ever. She absorbs and can radiate sunlight and direct that energy at will, though it is very rare that she uses that power offensively. She has been said to level mountains with her bare hands; many in her native land tell the tale of how Mt. Kilimanjaro was once taller than Everest until, in a fit of rage over the death of her first and only child as he attempted to scale that peak, she shortened the mountain by battering the top. She has been observed transforming barren land into lush, verdant fields simply by walking across it. It has also been rumored that her regenerative powers are so great that she can resurrect the dead, something she neither confirms nor denies. Also, her regenerative powers are most likely responsible for her eternally youthful appearance. It is not known how old African Violet is, and of course, a lady never tells!
WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantOK, as best as I can remember, I’m going to try the back story for Test Subject 002, again. I must admit, I like what Herr D came up with. Unknown to him, Sgt. Lincoln Kennedy was not the only survivor of that IED explosion in Iraq. Pvt. June Williamson suffered pretty much the same experiences as Kennedy, with the same results. The main differences are that her scarring is not as severe, she did not gain the increased muscle mass like Kennedy, and she seems to be totally unaware of her situation. But she also somehow absorbed and metabolised the radiation in her body. Only autonomous brainwave functions are registering on her EEG’s. Whether the accident removed her memories or she withdrew deeply into herself to deal with what has happened to her is unknown. Except for a brief, violent outburst after coming out of her coma, she has shown no signs of recognition, nor any reaction to external stimuli. While she is not thought to be as strong as Kennedy, (while his strength limits are not known, he is known to be of at least Level 10 super human strength, able to press 10 tons), she is believed to be in the Level 2-5 range, based on the damage caused by her brief outburst. For that reason she is kept under 24 hour surveillance with a constant armed guard also present. Because she remains in a vegetative state the simple straight-jacket restraint, though archaic, is sufficient. It is the hope that her power can be utilized as the perfect super-soldier. With no personality and hence, no morality, it is believed that she will carry out any order without question.
WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantHAHAHA! Never thought of a sibling rivalry angle. I study and practise up and try your tip on transparency. Thanks again, Weilyn!
WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantVery cool stuff! Welcome to Hero machine!
WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantDude, you ROCK!!! I especially love Blackout, Trickshot and Wraith. Like the concept behind Ariel. MORE!!!
WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantThanks, Weilyn! I’ve only been on HM for about a month and this version of Hothead took a lot of time and patience for me. Still a lot to learn. As a non-artist, I appreciate any feedback I get on my characters. Check out Hothead’s brother, Burn Unit, in a more mature take.
WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantWow! Though it doesn’t really tie her to Big Deal in the way I originally made up, I really like your back story, Herr D! Feel free to go for any of my other characters.
WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantTEST SUBJECT 002. I had a fairly involved back story for her linking her to another character, (see Big Deal in my Heros All thread), but I almost uploaded the wrong image. I hit cancel and lost the back story and because I make this stuff up as I go along, I’m not up to doing it again. Anybody want to take a stab at providing a back story for her or any of my characters, feel free. I might make something else up and add it later.
WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantA more mature take on Hothead and her pet dragon, Brimstone. “All Burnt Up!”
WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantI forgot to take the graph off, so here’s The Pilgrim again.
