WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantThanks, prs. Here’s another older Starchild, using your suggestions.
WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantNice stuff as always, prs! I like the blood splatter with the ninja. A couple of suggestions for names for the girl with the gun: Tight Shot or Little Bit? The pose suggests a young girl, a’la Hit Girl from Kick Ass, or a few years older. For whatever reason that’s what popped into my head. The bullet dance is insane! You are really good at this; even the mistakes you make are so small they’re overshadowed by the overall coolness of the work.
WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantIf you ever saw the old kung fu movie Triple Irons, a scene towards the end is what inspired this blood and bodies kick I’m on. Like 50 dead bodies all laid out where they fell on a bridge; all killed by one guy! This shot was inspired by a scifi novel I remember reading years ago, The Stainless Steel Rat, about a futuristic interplanetary thief. Why it came to mind now, I don’t know! Anyway, I call this Rat Problem!
WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantThanks, prs. I couldn’t find anything to really match the look of the boots on the game character so I had to make some. Here’s another random Amazon with a hapless victim. I did some practice with blood splatters. Thanks again, Atomic Punk and Herr D.
WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantThis is a HM3 rendering of a fighter I created in Soul Calibur 3, Lady Mona. I include a picture of her from the game to compare. I had to improvise on the boots.
WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantThanks, Vampyrist. Here’s a few more images that didn’t upload before. Alternate costume and two closeups of older Starchild.
WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantAn aged version of Starchild, with a slight variation to the costume.
WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantThanks again, Atomic. That actually looks more natural like I want. I’ll give it a try.

Once you have a lot of spatter in a scene, you might add spatter by coloring the last several items in MaleFace, stubble from FacialHair, rubble from Backgrounds, and add drippage and seepage by using various random shapes like translucent clouds, etc.
As to the 3d effect of breasts, all you can really do is put shadow from one on the other unless you highlight them unevenly–and that sounds hard to get right.
Herr D, your suggestion of using facial hair stubble and backgounds worked fine. I need to practise to make it more natural looking now.
WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantAtomic Punk, I looked but didn’t see any blood splattered shirts in Tops>Zombies. Herr D, I’ll try your suggestions.
WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantThanks, Atomic!
WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantYour group shot of Pride is fantastic! How do you pull off group shots like that? I had a hard enough time using the “all items” and moving back and forth with just two characters. I’m trying to get more ambitious, (see Sibling Rivalry in my Heros, All thread), but I don’t have the skills, yet. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Great idea with Pride. Very mature theme, even for conventional comics. Top notch art work, as always. Nike, (Winged Victory?), is beautiful! The Fairy Tale Fighters rock! I dig Thumbelina. I was seriously thinking of naming my character Amy Atom that.
Thanks. I can’t take full credit for the idea of Pride. Dicicatriz did the same thing a while ago and his were much better than mine. But I’m glad you like my work. Yeah Nike is named after the greek goddess of victory (spot the other Greek mythology references in the bio).
Pallas is another name for Athena, Goddess of Wisdom. Cool that you use the name for a male, keeping with the gender bending theme of Pride. Queen Styx refers to the river Styx leading to the Underworld of Hades.
WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantWatched an old school kung fu movie last night, “The New One Armed Swordsman” released as “Triple Irons” here in the US. When I get better at this I want to redo it because the scene that inspired this had a lot more bodies on the ground! Also, I wanted to have some blood splatters but couldn’t find anything to give me that look. I’ve seen other people’s work with blood splatters. Where can I find that item? Here’s my One Armed Swordsman.
WMDBASSPLAYERParticipant@HerrD: I did this using the “all items” method. I did Burn Unit first on the left, then shifted him over to make room for Hothead. When going back and forth between the wide and normal views the picture would focus on Burn Unit and I would have to shift over again, and it seem like I never shifted enough to get Hothead completely in the picture. Very time consuming! There’s got to be an easier way, and even if it’s just as time consuming as long as I can get the characters fully in the shot I won’t mind. I’ll check Kaylin’s tutorial. Thanks. Bad-People, I ended up liking the look of Star Spangled Sister, but I have since figures how to color patterns. Thanks anyway. I might try your idea for something involving less stars. Now I’m trying different ideas to make a flying character look more natural.
