A teaser for the upcoming Sibling Rivalry. The second picture was done months ago, but I honestly forgot about it.
Thanks for the encouraging words, guys! Honestly, this was kind of hard to put together. I finished 10 pages but only saved the first 3, then my laptop crashed!
After I got it going again, I kept saving after I finished each page and that really slowed down the process! And I have to give full disclosure; the art is 100% HM, but the page layouts, fonts and caption boxes were done on Comic Life. Also, the last page hints at Amy’s first meeting with her twin brother, Atomic Adam aka H-Bomb. She still doesn’t know of him, but he knows of her. This story is leading to the events of the one-shot, Sibling Rivalry, which I did a cover for a while ago. I have to redo the story of how they were separated at birth. Hopefully, it won’t take me as long as Amy’s origin! Great stuff, guys! Kaldath, those are simply amazing! Here are my villains; Heartless, a female assassin from my Earth2 and one of Miracle Man’s enemies. She was not sent to Earth Prime with him. The Boogyman, supernatural nemesis of Voodoo Jones. Bluefly, small time smash and grab man from Detroit who transformed himself with a flightsuit built for him by One Armed Bandit. One Armed Bandit, a thrill seeking technical genius and Olympic level athlete who never let his birth defect stop him. He is Amy Atom’s arch enemy.
My most ambitious work on Hero Machine yet. Thanks go out to RobM for the inspiration from his fantastic work with his Sentinels series, and much thanks to Atomic Punk for his Tell My Story elements to Amy that I have adapted as canon. As always, comments and critiques are encouraged and welcome!
Here’s a look at just how strong Amy Atom is. (I’ll do some zypping later.) Finally finished the origin story and I’m pretty satisfied with it. I’ll post it in my Spectacular Comics thread.
Like Basher, Tina Young was raped at age 16. Unlike Basher, instead of genetic and chemical enhancement on top of vigorous training from Miss X, she worked out a lot and got a gun. Jailbait wants to be Basher’s sidekick and eventually be accepted as a member of the Urban Soul Patrol, but her method of luring unsuspecting johns into secluded areas and killing them has put her at odds with them instead.
