The Traitor looks good but there is nothing other than maybe his facial expression to show his disillusionment. Not bad overall, but the concept behind him is that he’s still patriotic, but disgusted with the facade of patriotic symbolism, and a government which claims to be “by the people, of the people and for the people,” while the actual workings of his government are hardly in the best interests of the people governed.

Hope every one had a great Thanksgiving. Mine was fine but I was a little bummed out this morning. I made a portrait for a friend, but she didn’t like it. Her not liking the picture is not what bothered me. This friend is a trans-gender female and she said she was offended by the portrait. She has a very negative self image because she is a little overweight. She said she thinks the picture looks masculine and that she felt I was making fun of her. I copied from a picture of her and tried my best to match it with my level of Hero Machine skills and all I wanted to do was put a smile on my friend’s face.

Wow! What a challenge illustrating this story! I’m getting to play around with perspectives and size ratios more than I’ve done before. I hope I keep it all consistent as well as true to your story, Nate, and as interesting to look at as you made it interesting to read.

OK, so for what ever reason, when I tried exporting this pic, it kept coming out with the bottom cut off, as if I used “All Items” and lowered it. So what I did was take a screen cap of the widescreen, then cover the ad with another picture in my photo editor. Not bad if I do say so myself. Damn good eye, Herr D. I didn’t notice that at all. What stuck out more to me was the fact that I left the feet off of the reflections. The mirror reaches all the way down to the floor and should show the feet. From the closeness of the reflection I should have some of the cameraman shown in the actual room, but I knew that would be a lot of work to recreate a rear view of the companion.

Again, good argument. Regarding superheroes/metahumans, there is always a degree of belief suspension, but it makes a character more enjoyable for me if even in their impossibility they make sense. Did that sentence make sense?

That’s a good idea, Herr D. Or, because O.A.B is a tech genius, who makes all of his own weapons and defensive apparatus, the “gummy smoke” could be something of his own design, like he found a way to combine a smoke bomb with say, insulating foam, or a similar substance. As the smoke spreads to obscure vision, the foam also spreads and slows one progress.
