kicking yourself in the face? I’m going to have to suggest stomping on your own feet instead. It doesn’t require amazing flexibility, balance, or grace, but it does mean you can’t give yourself amnesia–forgetting your work. And if you do it hard enough, you might break an instep and have more computer time!

    Point taken. *Starts stomping*

I love Civilization, but I have not played it in the last 2 years or so. I might start a new game. See you in six months. http://www.heromachine.com/wp-content/legacy/forum-smileys/sf-laugh.gif

absolutely love your work, especially the mythical stuff =D But as i’m studying fossilization right now i have to be the boring old fart and say that anything fossilized in amber keeps its soft body tissue. But these mythical things are f***ing awesome =D

could i suggest making some trolls or yetis? =)

Aw, shoot. I kind of suspected that, but was unable to clarify whether it was actually the case. Oh, well, thank you for informing me, and for your kind comments. http://www.heromachine.com/wp-content/legacy/forum-smileys/sf-smile.gif

Also, why did you have to mention trolls? Now I had to eschew sleep for another few hours to make this:

Nordic Forest Troll, carrying an injured Greater Finnish Sprite

    http://www.heromachine.com/wp-content/legacy/forum-image-uploads/weilyn/2012/10/Troll-1.PNG

The Nordic Forest Troll is a very rare creature to spot these days. The First, Second and Third Jotun Purges (AD 996, AD 1558 and AD 1937, respectively), deforestation and conflicts with other forest creatures (particularly huldras and wights) have brought the species to the edge of extinction, and have made it highly averse to human contact.
Forest Trolls are far from as aggressive as commonly thought, more often than not choosing to back away from a threat rather than fighting it. If they are cornered, however, or if their habitats are in direct peril, they may charge with ferociousness rivalling their mountainous cousins. For example, the Third Jotun Purge was sparked by the maiming of a party of seven Finnish lumberjacks by a rampaging Forest Troll, near Jyväskylä in the autumn of 1936.
Generally, the presence of a Forest Troll is a sign of good health in the forest environment. They take great pride in their territories, and often attempt to heal or repair any damages made to them.

I planned to add more shadings and highlights to this one, but the Machine was acting up, and I lost my patience. Oh, and those aren’t breasts. They are egg sacs.

I know I’m kind of ressurecting this thread, but I finished a troll right before noticing this thread. I take that as destiny wanting me to upload him here, and who am I to argue with that?

I combined two of my favourite pastimes; shooting things and drinking, to create my superhero.

I give you Ethania:The Pissed Pistolier

One night, as Weilyn and a few of her friends were out shooting various shootable things and drinking various barely drinkable things, she realized that her accuracy was far greater under the influence of alcohol. The reason for this was that ethanol affected her uniquely mutated epiphysis, triggering the release of a peptide hormone that dramatically improved her perception.
Weilyn never bothered finding that out, however. Instead she decided then and there to buy an assortment of bottles, a bunch of cans and a handgun. Now she prowls the streets, fighting evildoers wherever she finds them, hopefully not losing too many shoes in the process.

    Incredible!

All your creations are impeccable, but what I really love is how symmetrical they are.

    I’m a huge fan!

Love the Civ-inspired characters! Myself, still playing Civ II. I need to upgrade!

Not necessarily. Civ II is an excellent game.
    Thanks a lot http://www.heromachine.com/wp-content/legacy/forum-smileys/sf-wink.gif

My, you’ve gotten prolific. Your pipe-lighter shot is great.

Thank you very much! I’m pretty proud of that one http://www.heromachine.com/wp-content/legacy/forum-smileys/sf-smile.gif

Unfortunately I probably won’t be uploading many new creations for a while. When I tried deleting my browser cache during the site troubles I accedintally deleted my SOL-files, erasing pretty much my entire backlog, along with all my current projects. http://www.heromachine.com/wp-content/legacy/forum-smileys/sf-yell.gif

Consequently I will have to spent some time kicking myself in the face.

See you in a few weeks, or so!

    Hi!
Here’s my version of the green guy. Would have posted him yesterday, but I couldn’t connect to the site, for some reason.

Since everyone seems to be taking the “constructive criticism” thing to the next level, I’ve taken the liberty of re-doing Ares in red and dark gray.

Shit, I’m sorry if I offended you, really. I hate giving negative criticism, cos I know I’m far from the most talented person on these forums, and you should feel completely free to ignore my opinions. It’s your creation, and no one has the right to pressure you into changing it. If you think green works better, then who are we to riff on your artistic desicions.

The design of Ares is great, it really is, and I love the idea of futuristic takes on the Greek gods, and I would love to see more of your ideas on that concept.

Awwww, ain’t you sweet? I was kidding. No harm done.

    Oh. Good Laugh

Sarcasm is a woderful thing, but it does have a way of getting misunderstood in text.

I really can’t say enough good things about Effigy! That was a really creative use of the skeletons and fire! I’m really impressed. I do wish that there was a good heart item though (unless I haven’t found it).
