Here is Andy Zorin, one of the Black Rose’s top lieutenants who is an empath. Andy is a sociopath and feels nothing, but is an impeccable actor. He uses his ability to feel and manipulate emotions to ingratiate himself into groups before causing them to self destruct.

Thanks and here is the Black Rose, one of the most feared crime bosses in my universe. He has no powers except a genius strategic mind.

It’s been a couple months since I’ve last posted. Between work and other hobbies, I’ve lurked, but not posted much. My project at work is winding down now so hopefully, that’ll change now.

Here is Rebecca Johnson, a girl who has the ability to control mystical fire.

Here is Quinn Blaine, the leader of a the Outcasts, a group whose powers have made them unable to function in normal society (It’s the Morlocks basically). He has the ability to control sound, amplifying, duplicating and throwing it as he desires. Part of his mutation has left him with a perpetual rictus grin which he covers with a scarf. He at one point had fought crime under the name Cacophany, but he quit when he joined and became the eventual leader of the Outcasts.

Admittedly, his mutation is lesser than a lot of the others in the group, but this made it easier to become the more public face of the group and their advocate in cape circles. The fact that he is their liaison with the normal world and his natural leadership skills are what made him the leader of the Outcasts. He protects his new family and fights to get them a life where they can survive. If they ever run into conflict, he uses his powers to surround their enemies with a wall of laughter or inane chatter, unsettling them.

I also like the Other. Plain/simple is not necessarily a bad thing. For Blackstar’s name, maybe something like Transformer or Transducer? Going with the idea of conservation of energy, maybe something like Enthalpy?

Here is Scratch, a villain who has the ability to create and manipulate hellfire. His very presence strikes fear into his fellow criminals and some believe him to be the devil incarnate.

Here is Ethan Torres, the half alien son of the hero Strandon and graduate of the Institute.

His father was an alien scientist and engineer who crashed on Earth. He used a cloaking device to hide his red skin and began a life as Edward Torres. He also used his natural super strength and durability to protect his new home. He met and married a human colleague at his job at a research lab.

Ethan did not inherit his father’s strength or durability, but his senses are greater and he is slightly stronger and tougher than the average human. Additionally, he has a slight healing factor. The main thing he inherited from his father and mother is his intelligence. Ethan is a genius and especially good with technology and engineering.

He went to the Institute, where he used his intelligence and his father’s tech in his pursuit to be a hero. His relative lack of powers has led him to become one of the better fighters at the Institute and his logical mind has allowed him to become one of the better strategists at the school. With a couple minutes of analysis, he’s able to come up with plans to overcome most obstacles. He is a natural leader and his work ethic earned him the respect of his peers.

Since graduating, he has become one of the school’s combat mentors who works as a team leader while students are off on missions and trains them to be better heroes.

I really like Ghost and Doberman. Their poses are great and reveal a lot about their character and their designs are great.

    Thanks guys.

Here is Cody Bishop, a former student of the Institute. Cody has the ability to absorb energy and convert it into superstrength, invulnerability, and explosive punches. He was a popular student, friendly with everyone and focused on his studies. He was serious as a hero, staying on task and doing his best to save others. This led him to be one of the first students to be “killed” in the line of duty. The Institute was facing off a villain with an island lair. They defeated him, but the island was rigged with a nuclear device. Cody stayed behind and absorbed the blast, giving his friends time to escape. The blast was too much for him and the energy burned through him before releasing again. With the second blast viewed from the jets windows, he was declared dead.

But he did not die. After the energy overloaded him, he laid dying on the remains of the island. He heard a voice and the voice offered him a deal. It would save him if it could use his body to take out its enemies. Upon the condition that no innocents could come to harm and that neither party could attempt to remove the other, Cody took the demonic deal.

In a combination of shame at his deal with the devil and the demon’s work, Cody did not reveal himself to his friends for seven years. Now that they know he is alive, Cody has become more active in the areas near the Institute, taking on magical foes for the Institute and for his demonic partner. He is still serious, but maybe because of the demonic influence, he has begun to enjoy combat, a wicked smile on his face as he takes on enemies.
