VampyristParticipantCharlie Holt was once Delta, the leader of the Defenders. He had the whole shebang, strength, near invulnerability and the smarts to make him a great team leader. Then he met Totenkopf. The old German was creating a death ray powerful enough to destroy Argent City in mere minutes. The Defenders went to stop him, but the death ray was activated and blasted Charlie’s leg. Even though he was near invulnerable, the death ray did major damage to his leg, destroying it beyond repair. He could still move it but with great pain. Needless to say, they did beat Totenkopf, but Charlie was a changed man.
Despite a leg brace which kept his leg mostly immobile, he was still in a great deal of pain and could only limp. He knew he would only slow his team down, so he quit. He retired for a couple of months before one of his old teammates called for help. She needed Charlie’s great strategic mind to help her defeat a supervillain and Charlie was happy to help. He was still a hero on the inside, even if he couldn’t be one on the outside due to his leg.
He had found his new calling. He now works as a chessmaster, providing heroes with strategic and personal advice all from the safety of his own home.
VampyristParticipantI think that it should be in the poll. It is a darn fine illustration, if not one of the best I’ve seen, and it should be allowed in the poll for that reason. Also, I’ve always seen the contest for more than just heroes and villains, it has been for great works of heromachining and Harlequin’s is a fantastic work of art.
VampyristParticipantLaura Cameron, a literature professor at the Institute. She used her sonic voice in the past as the heroine Lorelei.
VampyristParticipantThanks and here is Jadek, a space pirate who is also a pop quiz entrant.
VampyristParticipantBoth are very cool, as is the Troll and Shifter. Also don’t beg for comments. If you continue doing what you’re doing, which is very good, comments will come.
VampyristParticipantWell, the whole treatment of Native Americans, The trail of tears was a genocide IMO.
I also agree with the nuclear bomb statement. Barefoot Gen is a great movie that deals with the bombing of Hiroshima, it changed my views on Nukes.
The belief Reagan was the greatest president. In my opinion, he was one of the worst for his restarting cold war hostilities.
The polarization of our political system. It will destroy our country either through leaderships undoing wht the past one ahs done or inaction such as what plagues our congress.
VampyristParticipantKind of, but he has more control over it. His blood’s power only activates when he wants it to, generally he snaps and his blood detonates, leaving holes in the shape of the splatter. Also, here is Firestorm.
VampyristParticipantThanks and here is Bloodletter, an assassin with an unique ability. He has the gift to cause his blood to energize, destroying both the blood and the area around it. He also, as a secondary power, has a decent healing factor which keeps him from bleeding to death. He uses this power as a hitman, his blood cutting through his victims like a knife.
VampyristParticipantThanks and here is Subzero, the first villain I posted on the old HM forums.
VampyristParticipantQuetzacoatl, Aztec god of wind.
VampyristParticipantHere is an older version of Bradley Cabrera
He is now perpetually metal after an assault by Nobel left him near death. The explosive’s kinetic energy did a lot of damage before his skin hardened and he was left badly beaten. Now he is near invulnerable in his metallic state and few things can even hope of defeating him. He is also now security officer of the Institute.
VampyristParticipantVery nice team, they are all fantastic and have a lot of character to them, as well as colors.
VampyristParticipantAaron Burke, ex soldier turned black ops agent.
