TiberiusMemberHere’s one I didn’t save a text file for and it was originally too many KB’s to post so hopefully after some cropping it will work here. If it works, it started out as me messing around with wings and eventually developed into an actual character.
Here is Sarim.

TiberiusMemberThis is a really nice design guide, thank you Suleman! I’m glad to see I do some things right (even if I don’t know the exact reasons, haha).
TiberiusMember@ Cliff – Thank you so much for everything in your review. I will try your suggestion on the lightning effect and see how that looks (in the morning after I get some much needed sleep!).
I would also like to add here that I feel each gallery I have been able to look at so far offers very unique art. Each one is like a breath of fresh air when I look at them because time and time again I catch myself thinking how wonderful it is to be able to see how each person expresses themselves. Cliff, you are a perfect example. Many of your art works are truly unique and amazing and I can tell you (and others here) that I have seen a lot of awesome art that I’m not sure I would have ever thought of making. So thank you for that!
@ ams – Thank you kindly for the advice. I get what your saying about each pic brings out lessons learned, very true. Thank you also for the link. I was able to read that about a week ago and I think I have one completed character with a little dynamic posing to him. I just started a second one this evening, but have a ways to go on finishing it.
It was the ‘Articulated Man’ thread where I saw your ‘name’ and eventually started looking into your thread not too long ago. There are a LOT of pictures to go through in there (all of them AMAZING so far). I’ll be posting there soon when I get through them all.
Time for sleep!
TiberiusMemberWow, that is freaky! Really nice job on those teeth. I’m liking the complex patterns on the top of the skull as well.
TiberiusMember@Vengeance – Thank you for the compliments, my friend! I had to mess with the position of several parts (limbs and to some extent the background as well) to really make it look like he was actually running. Glad you like it!
@Suleman – Thanks for noticing the back arm, I custom built the top half of it as I wasn’t able to get a good effect with anything that was available. At one point I switched out background effects to see what I liked as I had a slight feeling that it might be too busy as well. I finally felt this was going to work for now and maybe by the time I try another speedster/running pose, I will have some new ideas stored away that I’ll want to try.
TiberiusMember@Suleman- Thanks for the kind words! I’ll post a pic here that has a bit more posing to it (although it’s not one of the two just finished). Hrmm, seems I’m having a bit of trouble with this one.
If anyone has a quick ‘How to do’ to remove files, that would be great!
Here is my version of a running character/speedster. Hope you like it!
EDIT: Added this with some diminished lightning effects in the background (as per Cliff). I think I like it better, thanks Cliff!

TiberiusMember@JR – I didn’t even catch that I forgot to rename the file. I’m trying to figure out how to do it now as I don’t see the file when I try to edit and the original file I unzipped and named is gone. Sorry about that. Worst case scenario I’ll add another one and you can delete the one that’s up now.
I added a newly unzipped file, so please feel free to remove the original as I have yet to figure out how to remove it myself. Sorry again about that, I just totally missed the file name when I made the changes.
TiberiusMemberEven left-handed your art is very nice. Neat idea on the floating technology with Earth in the scanner. Well done!
TiberiusMemberWow! I like the Green Sentry. Good color gradient and choices on him. I like how you used some of the items on him (the horns around the belt area; I think they are horns).
Again, your backgrounds are always pretty sweet. I really like that mirror effect of his name.
Great job, Vengeance!
TiberiusMember@ Hawk – Thank you for the kind words and the critique! The characters I’ve posted so far are all ones I’ve completed in my first few weeks of using the Hero Machine. I do have characters coming soon that will be far more ‘posed’ than the ones so far. In fact I just completed two that are in fairly complex poses, so hopefully you will like those even more so.
I’m a bit behind on posting my pictures, but I will catch up to my current level of ability before too long. The reason I am posting these as slowly as I am is because with my busy schedule I can only produce 1 – 2 pictures a week at best, and some of those are things I wanted to try my hand at that can’t be posted here (like a certain ‘bat’ character). So basically I am spreading out the ones I already had made to keep a slightly better pace starting out this thread.
Hopefully when I catch up to current pictures I’ll be faster at making them altogether to make sure I can get a few out a week a bit easier.
Thanks again for the kind words and the advice, both are much appreciated my friend!
TiberiusMemberSomehow I missed a few pictures when I made the last post. So let me quickly add this…
1. Great job on the Justin Case character (great name as well). I’m not sure I’ve seen torn clothing before, but I am fairly new here.
2. Thor looks great as well. I’m not used to seeing that style from you and at first I actually thought someone else posted a picture in your thread, haha. Completely caught me off guard there. Again, a great picture of the might Thor!
TiberiusMemberCliff, I’m amazed at how good you can make everything and do so much of it. Your pictures are so full of art between the characters and backgrounds it’s awesome to look at.
1. I really like how you did the fire/propulsion under the rocketship Luna, it looks great!
2. ‘Two wheels no waiting’ has an amazing background. Very well done!
3. Justin McKinney- Pride week. Just looking at his face and pose makes you happier which in my opinion is always good art! This is one of my favorites.
4. The Vampire looks better without fangs, I think you could get the effect you wanted if you could pull off something like his mouth being barely open enough to see his incisors.
Great work on all the characters and backgrounds, keep it going! They are great fun to look at, Cliff!
TiberiusMember@ Herr D – Yeah I wanted to do more shading on the face that is showing, mainly. The armor is called ‘Glimoria’. It’s has a decent level of magic to it and the name has some meaning to it that represents light. If the person wearing the armor falls in battle, it will heal them quite a bit. This is reactivated once another healing spell is cast on the armor by a Cleric or Paladin.
The hound is called forth from shadow. The thing you see on his head is the focal point for the shadows to attach themselves to, which allow the hound to stay in our realm for a little while each day. His natural attacks are claws and a nasty bite. He can also Bay which has an incredibly large radius fear effect.
Yay! I’m glad you figured out how to view them!
TiberiusMemberGood luck on school, Lef.
I’m pretty new around here and I am trying to get through the galleries. It’s really nice to look through them as each individual has a great style all their own and the unique ideas each person has to show are quite wonderful.
Looking through your gallery was great.. so many pictures that really get you looking at them. Thank you for the wonderful art we get to see here and I hope you keep adding more.
I’ve lost a few characters myself. The last one was almost completed and so I made myself do one thing before I ended each ‘session’. I save the current progress. Then I go into save again and go to the text tab. Right click, select all and copy. I then open Notepad and paste. Then in Notepad I ‘save as’ whatever name currently calling the artwork. Then I drop that file on my desktop so it’s there when I come back for my next session. Just click on it, select all, copy, and paste that into the heroMachines ‘load’ ‘text’.
Unless your computer goes completely under, you’re not losing that progress.
TiberiusMemberHere’s a quicker made character who we’ll probably use for a low-level gang boss/thug. My concept when I made him was that he had connections to some mafia or criminal outfit which got him the position he’s in. I named him Lil’ Vinny.
