TheSoupsterParticipantTwo years on (mental), and back to dabble a wee bit into Hero Machine again!
This character (who doesn’t have a name yet) is, as you can tell by her get up, a doctor.ย She does have a backstory as well, but I’m getting old and it’s past my bedtime. ๐ I’ll update this post soon!
As always, any comments are greatly appreciated!

TheSoupsterParticipantI love Gemini. The faces are fantastic, a real mysterious quality to them, and the background really sets the whole image off! Nice one!
TheSoupsterParticipantHaha! Love it! Although, perhaps ‘creeptastic’ could also apply here… A giant, immaculately shaded, disembodied brain floating about with a determined, frenzied grin on his face?
TheSoupsterParticipantThanks mate!
TheSoupsterParticipantSo I’m back down in England for a wee while, visiting family, and my Mum was looking over my shoulder at some of the images in AMS’s thread, which I was browsing at the time. Well, one thing led to another, and so I present to you the first collaborative creation of my mum and me: Magaluf Man.
Backstory: Whilst holidaying with his wife and kids in Majorca, Gary ‘Gazza’ White becaming the ever-so-slightly pathetic superhero: Magaluf Man. One morning, Gazza woke up to find (to his great surprise) a pair of wings had sprouted on his back. However, try as he might, he just couldn’t achieve lift-off (possibly due to his fondness for pies), and so he had to make do with flapping his wings *really* hard to create a strong breeze.Using this ‘Superpower’ and his already considerable strength and boxing prowess, Gazza has taken to the streets of Magaluf, vowing never to rest until justice and peace reign in that fair city. He’s also joined a weight watchers group, and hopes one day to be able to use his wings for what they were intended.
TheSoupsterParticipantIt’s always quite tough to try and represent psychic or invisible powers, but you’ve done it well with vertigo! The way all the rings are different orientations does the job nicely.
TheSoupsterParticipantThanks, Jeimuzu and Anarchangel! Really appreciate your comments!
(And Herr D, I think I get what you mean, I’ll give it a go in the future.)
TheSoupsterParticipantThey’re all beautiful, but I must say, I think Hypnosis is probably my favourite character I’ve seen so far on the whole of the forums, or at least, definitely up there near the top. The outfit, the shading, it all just works!
TheSoupsterParticipantReally enjoying this series so far! I particularly like the way on Abran Delsa you sort of made the right leg be in mid-transformation. It worked really well, lovely effect.

That is AWESOME!
Thank you Stulte!

First, Richmond! Second, awesome character and posing.
Thanks mate! I absolutely love the IT Crowd, and so when I was thinking of doing a wall crawler, there was never really another option for a model…! As for the posing, I would seriously recommend that app to make windows translucent, it was very very helpful!
TheSoupsterParticipantOK, so this one has taken me *forever*. Probably the most amount of time and layers on any drawing! So far, anyway…
Meet The Frog, A.K.A Albert Chen, perhaps the character who’s taken most to his role as a hero. Gifted with an adhesive touch and hyper efficient muscles (letting him run and jump much higher than the average person) Albert wasted no time in creating a persona for himself, training, and becoming the superhero he always wanted to be. Somewhat mocked by the others for his… enthusiasm (not to mention his outfit of choice, which he insists on wearing on missions!), there is no doubt that the Frog is one of the characters most at home with his new powers, and most adept at using them.
Two extra things to note: 1) This program, Afloat, for those of you with macs, could be incredibly helpful for posing. It makes any window go translucent, so you can put an image behind the browser window that hero machine is in, and then ‘trace’ the pose through with body parts. I used this image for reference:
2) This is a screenshot of the hero machine window, because export was playing up again, and cutting the head of the character off. Probably because I moved everything down at once at one point. Any suggestions on how to fix it?
TheSoupsterParticipantIncredible lighting on the Storm King image! Looking forward to seeing more of your work!

The face alone is spectacular on that one. It’s around great though.
THIS. So much.. history in it!

Keep up the good work.
Thanks guys! Very much appreciated, and I’m looking forward to doing more pieces! Quick question… See when you’re uploading to the forums, what size images do you tend to use? Thanks!
TheSoupsterParticipantHmmm… just looking back through, these three haven’t been particularly adventurous really… No good costumes etc. Very… normal. Right. The next one will make batgirl’s new costume look like something you’d get from a second hand shop.
