I wrote other Zero Level stories, but I won’t post them on this forum.

I may post them somewhere else. I may not.

There used to be a story here.

Back when the forums recorded views, it got about 3,000 in six months. That was much more than any other story.

I was proud of that.

I never earned Power User status despite being around longer than that was a thing, but seeing the number of views this story got gave me a sense of pride.

But the view counter is gone.

And so is the story.

And, very soon, I will be too.

Where do stories go when they disappear? Where did they come from? If you didn’t read it, did it ever exist? If it did, can it exist in your memory but nowhere else?

Damned if I know.

Yeah, my wife is pregnant again, so it’s obvious where my head is.

Color 1 – blanket, color 2 – Infant skin.

I had to make a baby from scratch before and it wasn’t easy. To keep it easy, let’s make that baby bald because it’s easier to add hair than take it off. Face-wise, they all look like big-nosed aliens in the early days, so generic is better.

I also hope this isn’t too close to the ban on “companions,” because this is something people would have to hold. If it is, let me know and I’ll pick something else.
