The Atomic PunkParticipantCool effects with the Nazi from Hell. Are you running an “Indiana Jones” / cliffhanger inspired campaign?

The Atomic PunkParticipantAfter the Lisbon Crisis of 2021, the populist movement won landslide elections with promises to reduce the pain of austerity. In 2025, PRIDE cancelled elections nationwide, nullified the Portugeuse Constitution and outlawed all other political parties.

The Atomic PunkParticipantOnly one entry for this challenge. Another “Capital Vice.”
The Atomic PunkParticipantA twisted take on “The Letter People,” I designed “The Letter Sinners” (aka, “Capital Vices”) for the Seven Deadly Sins challenges. Wrath is a personal favorite.
The Atomic PunkParticipantAlas, poor Silas Manticore. He worked years as a copyboy with no recognition or advancement. Fed up with the lack of respect, he swore vengeance upon the world.
Alas, poor Silas Manticore. He soon found that being a supervillain was also unsatsifying.

I mean, I have complete faith in all of you that a week is sufficient to get in an entry. But I don’t want to discourage anyone from entering. Feedback please.
Many sites like CGHUB, DeviantArt, Seventh Sanctum, Project Rooftop, etc., have month-long contests as well as on-going side projects. Even the 30 Characters’ rules say you don’t have to enter a character every day; rather, 30 anytime within the 30 days.
An Amalgam challenge is a big production that can sustain itself if done in the right format. The big buzz right now is the Forums. We have some really prolific creators, a few new members, and a lot of people running their own challenges. Which is great! It’s also like herding cats. Perhaps wrangle those little kitties back to the Blog.
How’s this for an Amalgam: use past Hero of the Month winners or even nominations. Pair the winners of January and February, March and April, etc. That is a decent size pool of ready creations and potential for some crazy, awesome stuff! Of course, you will probably want to seek permission of the HOTM winners.
The Atomic PunkParticipantAs with the Zodiac, Jeff decided to conduct a series of challenges based on the Seven Deadly Sins. First up: Wrath!
Rather than going with wrath as a state of mind or form of retribution, my first entry was a lesson in geography. Cape Wrath is the on the northwest tip of Scotland. Which also makes it the northwestern point of the UK mainland.

The Atomic PunkParticipantA new member of HeroMachine, Son4 has a unique style. The flaming eagle from the spray can is a great visual.

The Atomic PunkParticipantGreat story! It strikes a lot of themes familiar to most fiction readers. So it was easy to follow. Even for non-fans, there was enough dialogue and interaction between the characters that the setting was identifiable. The setting was almost secondary to the action.
The editor in me notes: ““We can make sure that none of your friends have died in vein.” That should be “vain.”
The designs are solid and complemented each other well. You definitely have an eye for making characters part of the same world. And, of course, the group shots at the end.
The Atomic PunkParticipantCorrect, there are presently no Items for LeftHand > Female. Easiest way is to flip or rotate a RightHand or re-size a Male Hand (80% – 90% works well).
Jeff Hebert, HeroMachine’s creator, admits to not being able to draw female anatomy so well. The omission was also a shortcut to speed the release of Version 3. Perhaps in an upcoming release, Jeff will add the Items.
The Atomic PunkParticipantCharacter Design Contest 78: Random Word II
The challenge was to create a character or design or the adjective “lissom.” “Lissom” means “lithe” or “flexible.” It also means “agile” or “nimble.” I thought of worms, snakes, eels, etc. Not quite a “lissom” fellow, but I came up with the Italian Renaissance superhero “The Wyrm.”
