The Atomic PunkParticipantThe Samatar update is sweet. Everything seems to be in place. No wasted space or unnecessary props. Nice touch with the glove lines.
The Atomic PunkParticipantCharacter Contest #H03 “70’s Super Heroâ€
I wasn’t in a hero mood. Tried zypping her crown. Didn’t care for the results and deleted it. Zypping is something that just eludes me.

The Atomic PunkParticipantThanks, HK. It’s fun going through the retrospect. I can’t believe how many characters and designs that I’ve created. It’s also been fun watching HeroMachine evolve into an on-line community.

My Dover Demon is a slightly larger than a cat. I’ve been watching to many re-runs of X-Files.
The Dover Demon
The Dover Demon was first seen outside near a bar by three seventeen-year-old boys who were driving through the Massachusetts area when the car’s headlights illuminated it. Bill Bartlett, the driver, reported that he saw what he thought at first was a dog or a cat, but upon closer inspection realized that it was a bizarre, unearthly-looking creature crawling along a stone wall on Farm Street.
The Atomic PunkParticipantWillkommen, Mr. Jack! Good start. Please be careful with the copyright characters, though. That includes video games (Mortal Kombat).
The Atomic PunkParticipantAgree to both. He’s a really neat character with a scary face. Also, I am so sick of the snow and cold.
The Atomic PunkParticipantCharacter Contest #H01 “Robotic Duoâ€
After five years, Jeff Hebert announced his retirement from hosting HeroMachine’s daily blog to focus on expanding the items and the program itself. Hammerknight hosts the contests now. His first challenge: design a pair of robots who work as partners.
Steampunk is the inspiration for Field Marshall Clank. Fodderbot is simply a grunt under his command. I intended both to be entries in the Super Omega Deathbattle Warzone Apocalypse contest. I did not finish them in time. Still, they fit into the video game that I envision.
Both are still “drafts.” There is not a lot of zypping or pop to either. Fodderbot’s color-scheme is too green. However, it does save the foundry money on paint.

The Atomic PunkParticipantCharacter Challenge 103: Scary Stuff
Jeff announced the contest as “Zombies” to celebrate Halloween. The subject proved unpopular, so he switched to “Scary Stuff.” Personally, zombies have become the grunge band of the horror genre. People are so tired of sparkly vampires that they want monsters that are covered in dirt and wear flannel.
Not much of a horror fan myself. Today’s “horror” movies are mind-numbing sadism and gore. To this day, the scariest movie that I have ever seen is the original “Alien.”
All that said, I set out to design a malicious household monster. Instead, wound up with a brute for a fantasy campaign. Rather disappointed with the overall execution. Entered him anyway; however, just the close-up.
