Willkommen, wellspring! I see you like earth-tones. Let’s see what you can build from that foundation. Wink

Great work with “Space War Master.” Where did you find such inspiration? (wink, wink, nudge, nudge)

I like him both masked and unmasked. The scars on his head really complete his design. He is great all-around but that touch just pulls it all together.

Willkommen, Melvin! Great profiles. As far as Photoshop, they are your creations, so whatever you want to do with them is up to you. However, thank you for the courtesy of letting everyone know that you touched them up with another program. If you decide to enter your characters in a HeroMachine contest, yes, they need to be 100% HeroMachine. Enjoy!

Thanks, HammerKinght. I wanted him to have an old school look. That comparison says that I was successful. At some point, I will design American Eagle II.

Character Contest #H12 “Old School #1 Country Pride”

A blue-collar hero and one of the newest additions to my meta-verse. Likewise, I have since included Bald Eagle and American Eagle.

When they reached the bottom of the gorge, the other track laborers were amazed and horrified. Their co-worker had survived the fall. After a long silence, one asked, “You okay, buddy?”

Rhett Mellor rose to his feet. The normally soft-spoken Idaho native answered, “Okay? I feel freaking fantastic! Hey… what’s with my voice?!?”

Willkommen, Zaria! Quick progress and nice work. I see you found where to change an item’s aura. Yes, energy effects with translucent colors pop. Looking forward to more of your creations.

Lauren Keller is great. Nice lead up to her origin. Can’t help notice that she wears shoes while sitting in her wheelchair but is barefoot in hero mode. Laugh

Myro, the Baron Vladimir Harkonnen of Giedi Prime, of course. Like I said, my Baron might be a far distant relative. A far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far distant relative. Wink

    Character Contest #H11 “Game’s On”

Design a sports-themed hero. Unfortunately, no entries for this contest.

Character Contest #H12 “Old School #1 Country Pride”

Design a hero whom you would be proud to represent your home country. Admittedly, this one was easy for me to come up with ideas.

    The Bald Eagle

For 45 years, stuntman Edward Adams fought crime as “The American Eagle.” After he announced his retirement and went public, the White House offered him a job as a goodwill ambassador. Adams now makes special appearances and is a frequent guest speaker.

A younger hero continues as “The American Eagle” on her own. Edward was both flattered and humbled. With good spirit, he adopted the self-depreciating identity of “The Bald Eagle.”

True, Herr D. An eldritch horror would probably eat a tour bus sandwich. Smile

Character Contest #H10 “Old West Villains”

I fancy this guy as a far distant ancestor of another infamous baron. Care to guess?

Whoo hoo! For a moment, I reclaimed my title as King of Worthless Knowledge. And #11 Part C coined the phrase.

And for about 6 months here, there was a place called “Milliways.” Not on the radar, but while it lasted, the name amused. No “Pan-Galactic Gargle-Blasters,” just good old-fashioned rum and cherry shots.

    Character Contest #H08 “Atlantis Revealed”

My concept is that Atlantis is not a lost island of advanced humans. It is a failed alien invasion.

    Atlantean
    atomicpunk-atlantean.png

Atlantis was not an island but a colony ship. The Atlanteans had come to earth to establish a beachhead. These lobster-like aliens are an amphibious species. Earth’s atmosphere lacks key elements for respiration. Though they are able to survive crushing depths, Atlanteans need re-breathers in order to survive outside the mother ship.

Originally moored outside the Greek islands, Atlantis was almost destroyed when an enemy race nuked it. Humans mistook the massive explosion as a super-volcano erupting on the island of Santorini. The wounded ship attempted to escape only to crash in the Caribbean Sea.

For thousands of years since, the Atlanteans have been trying to repair their ship. Progress is impossibly slow as they cannot allow humans to know of their presence and materiel is in short supply. All construction is done underwater. To ward off intruders and claim salvage, the Atlanteans use a powerful generator that draws ships and planes beneath the waves. This area is known to humans as “the Bermuda Triangle.”
