SulemanParticipantI’m going to enter this for the Gold Hawk contest, even though it’s not quite the same character anymore. I got inspired and things sort of got out of hand!

I’ll go for Queen Eagle as well, if I only have the time. Since the deadline is on Thursday, I should be fine.
SulemanParticipantJust pasting the direct link to the image into the reply box is enough.
For example, if I wanted to show something from my photobucket, I’d just paste the “http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk15/Sulemania/Heromachine/…” here, and it would automatically show the picture.
SulemanParticipantI’m sort of surprised by the love for the mask, to be honest. It’s three items combined in a very simple manner, but I guess it’s more than the sum of its parts. Heck, I’ll go and enter this guy anyway, I’ll just say the design was “inspired” by Gold Hawk.
SulemanParticipantThanks, Vampyrist!
One more version! This time with slightly different hair.

Now I know what you’re thinking: What does he look like under that mask? I mean, just think about how that hair will look like. Shall we find out?
SulemanParticipantI started making this for JR19759’s redesign contest, based on his character, the Gold Hawk. In the process, though, I decided to step away from the concept and make my own thing. Here is the American Eagle, a patriotic superhero who is also a human-bald eagle hybrid.
Three versions, with slightly different kilt colors and wings. I’d be glad if you could help me decide the best combination again.

Such a shame that this is no longer eligible for the contest, I’m fairly proud of it.
SulemanParticipantThere’s always the possibility of differentiating them with highlights. Ares is now green and black, but he could be red and black, while Hephaestus could be orange and red. Or something.
SulemanParticipantThanks! I’m glad you like Three-Eyes. The character is supposed to be a villain in an RPG campaign I’m running, I’m hoping my players will have a similar reaction.
And now for something completely different. An undead monster animated by cursed rope, from Vampyrist’s redesign thread.
http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk15/Sulemania/Heromachine/Gallows.png
Huh. Another design with one eye and asymmetrical sleeves. I’m sensing a trend here.
SulemanParticipantWell, since you’re nice enough to allow so much leeway… here’s a different sort of Gallows.
The heroic Gallows was not, unfortunately, the first to get the idea to use the cursed rope. Centuries ago, a foul necromancer created an undead monster animated by the rope. Its master is long dead, yet it still walks. Its purpose is a mystery, but one thing is clear: It will kill anything that gets in its way.
SulemanParticipantHere’s a random little design I made for Blue Blazer’s contest.
http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk15/Sulemania/Heromachine/Quest4.png
SulemanParticipantI don’t even know. This is 100% improvised, made it up as I went along. The end result is somewhat bizarre. I’m not very satisfied with the colors, either, I couldn’t find a good shade of yellow. Oh, well.
Here is some sort of future cop version of Quest.

SulemanParticipantYour stuff is definitely one of a kind! It’s more stylized than most Heromachine creations, with the slightly squashed proportions and pop-art like effects and colors. Very memorable, slightly cartoony, in a good way.
I’m looking forward to your future works!
SulemanParticipantThe audience has spoken. Version three is the one I will be using in any future iteration.
Here is Three-Eyes cloakless, after apparently decapitating some poor guy.

SulemanParticipantI’m really digging the lighting and shading effects in your works, they bring the characters alive really nicely. In that sense, I’m reminded of AMS’s stuff, and believe me, that is a compliment indeed.
SulemanParticipantYep! I’m not very good with tights and masks, but I looove warriors and weapons and such.
Speaking of which, here’s a new character.
The mysterious Three-Eyes is a deceptive crime lord with a sinister agenda. Deviously intelligent and deadly with the sword, Three-Eyes is not to be trifled with.
Here’s a bunch of different versions. Pick whichever you like best.

SulemanParticipantI’m back, at least for a moment.

This is a quick sketch of Marius Cloutier, unwilling deserter from the French navy. And no, that is not a period-accurate French navy uniform, but I did look up some historical uniforms.
