SulemanParticipantOh, okay. How strange! I’m sorry, that was my bad.
SulemanParticipantAh, I correctly guessed I saw a Girl Genius influence in there as well. Wolsung was just recently translated from the original Polish, so it’s no wonder you haven’t heard about it before. A good friend of mine helped with the translation.
The arm is still a tad short for a male human’s. Here is a basic example using the base items from the program. When relaxed on the side, a man’s arm is longer than the torso and the fingers reach the midddle of the thigh. Try and put a base arm item next to the prosthetic and see how the proportions compare!
SulemanParticipantNice steampunk approach to fantasy! It sort of reminds me of the old videogame Arcanum and the roleplaying game Wolsung. My favorite is probably your self-portrait.
I also really like how much thought you’ve put into the technology. I especially like the visual/olfactory enchancers and the mechanical daggers. The mechanical arm sort of confuses me, however. It it intentionally so short?
SulemanParticipantI couldn’t think of anything else in particular to add, so he will remain bald and shirtless for the rest of his days.
Here’s the final version with some shading:
Here is a picture that demonstrates where I used masking to make the pose work:
And, finally, here is the code for the character.

SulemanParticipantCool! I’ll start working on the details soon. Shading, battle damage, tattoos, whatever.
SulemanParticipantI altered the pose a bit and tried out some different hands. Now I guess I just need to figure out what a he would wear.
Any vampire monks in the audience?
SulemanParticipantHere’s a posing sketch I made. The character is supposed to be a vampire monk, Dungeons And Dragons style, but don’t let that distract you.
It’s still pretty early in development, but do you have any ideas on how to make the pose better? Is the perspective looking alright? How about that back foot? It’s sort of bothering me.
SulemanParticipantThanks!
Yeah, I figured he was pretty brash because of his sumo star status and stepped on some toes when he joined the gang. That’ll get your fingers cut in a jiffy.
SulemanParticipantI think I might be getting the hang of using shadows.
SulemanParticipantSo apparently the Sumotori from above decided to abandon his sumo career and become a yakuza gangster. He has a terrible fashion sense.
SulemanParticipantWelcome to the Heromachine forums!
Did you forget to attach a picture? I am not seeing anything.
SulemanParticipantNeat! I really dig the boots and the helmet.
SulemanParticipantWell, if there are no items to add, then the rest is just shading and lighting.
SulemanParticipantThen for something completely different. Here is a sumo wrestler.
I’ll probably tweak this quite a bit and use some shading and accessories, but here’s the base. Is there anything in particular that you think needs changing?
SulemanParticipantOh, those are some nice effects.
