SulemanParticipantIf your request for commissions is genuine, here’s my old character Samatar that could benefit from the AMS touch. I don’t make a lot of super-characters, but I think he’d be a good fit with your style. Feel free to improvise and modify the design.
SulemanParticipantJust as I’d finished writing that, I decided to make another lady knight.
Weapon: Spear/Polearm
Build: Short
Personality: Perky
Culture: Chinese
Animal: Mammoth…so I’m guessing I should call this character Lady Mammoth? Seems inappropriate.
As a bonus, here’s a group shot of all three of the knights.

SulemanParticipantThanks. The shading I do is pretty basic and amateurish: I just find spots where something might cast a shadow and I apply a dark gradient where the shadow should roughly be. The problem is, I’m never quite sure where the light source is so the shadows are all over the place.
I’m not entirely sure when my next design is gonna happen, so here’s something to entertain you in the meantime: Lady Tigerless.
SulemanParticipantDid you remember to attach an image? I don’t see an image. Could just be the image links on the forums acting up again.
SulemanParticipantNeat! The freckles are a nice touch. What I would consider adding (besides the glitz) is also a bit of grime. The colors are pretty bright for the wild west. Could be just me, though. Depending on the tone and the setting, they can be perfectly fine.
SulemanParticipantIt’s not like there’s anything wrong with being bald! It can be quite intimidating and cool. However, long hair is great for portraying movement, same with flowing clothes. Kung fu and wuxia movies have demonstrated that.
I tweaked Lady Tiger a bit and put in some shadows. I might have gone a tad overboard, there’s just so many things that could potentially cast shadows in the design.
SulemanParticipantAnother lady knight.
Weapon: Sword
Build: Tall
Personality: Nervous
Culture: Russian
Animal: Big CatSo this time we have Lady Tiger who feels really awful about having to kill you.
SulemanParticipantNice! I really like your choice of parts, nothing seems out of place.
SulemanParticipantYou know, making a dragon-related character and not having them ride a dragon is such a waste. So let’s have her ride a dragon.

SulemanParticipantShin isn’t actually a yakuza, he and his brothers are noblemen fallen from grace in an rpg setting inspired by the animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender. So he’s a guy whose kung fu is so powerful he can fight evenly with people who can create flames with their punches or small tornadoes with their kicks or whatever.
In other news, I was inspired by this link to design some lady knights. Here’s how it goes: You pause of the gifs by dragging them and you make your character based on what options you happen to get.
http://dogbomber.tumblr.com/post/77216633474/its-no-secret-that-i-like-lady-knights-like-aI happened to get:
Weapon: Staff/Rod
Build: Top-heavy
Personality: Evil
Culture: American
Animal: DragonSo here’s Lady Drake and her vicious Dragonbone Staff.
…hold on, she’s supposed to be specifically American. Uhhh….
SulemanParticipantThanks! It’s always nice to get some feedback, because sometimes I don’t trust myself to judge my own work. Good to see I didn’t make any glaring mistakes and that people appreciate these.
As a bonus, here’s a closer look at Shin’s tattoos.
SulemanParticipantNeat! You really explore this concept well. I also respect the different bodytypes you’re using.
SulemanParticipantThanks, man. The head area is actually mirrored horizontally compared to the original pose, so the entire character is now facing towards the front hand. That, interestinly enough, also forced me to change the front foot, as it no longer looked like it could support the pose. Just goes to show how changing even one part can affect the entire body and the design.
I’ll stick with the thicker tattoos if I ever feel like tweaking this design.
SulemanParticipantI realized I actually had a character I could use this pose for. So I did!
Shin, of the Shen brothers. A devastating warrior, who is feared for his martial prowess and strength even in a world where magic is commonplace. Unfortunately, he is arrogant, short-tempered and easy to fool.I also made a version with slightly different colors for the tattoos. I’m having trouble deciding between them.
SulemanParticipantThanks, dudes!
I tried giving him a shirt, and, well, it was hard enough to make the pose with just the body parts. As usual, the clothes are even harder. They’re just all intended for the basic torso, not the angled one.
