SulemanParticipantI decided to make another wrestler character. However, I am sort of lacking in inspiration. Any ideas for poses or additions for this character? I was going for a cartoony 80s style.
SulemanParticipantOh my. Nice variation with those blood effects.
I really dig how you understand the big picture. You use parts that might not be the obvious choice by themselves, but really look good when you look at the picture and the parts as a whole. The angler and Maria Braganza are good examples of that.
I personally have the problem of getting overly fiddly with the details, so I really wish I had that skill.
SulemanParticipantI really dig it! The light effect is nice.
SulemanParticipantWell, if all else fails, go with black and red. She’s likely some sort of sinister noblewoman.
SulemanParticipantWork in progress.
I can’t design dresses. I don’t understand color schemes. I’m gonna try nevertheless.
SulemanParticipantI really dig Maclaighean and Be Not Afraid. Technically quite simple designs, but they just ooze flavor and depth. Nice fading effects, too.
SulemanParticipantI am familiar with that method and I’ve used it quite a bit. I didn’t do it with all of the shadows due to the amount of extra work needed to make copies of the items. I guess I could return to this and try to fix them, though.
EDIT: Here is a new version. Any better?
SulemanParticipant
This cyborg person is really happy about something. A new paintjob? A date with the cute mechanic at the shop? The smell of napalm in the morning? Who knows!
I’m not 100% satisfied with this yet, but, hey, it looks alright. The shadows might be a bit off.
SulemanParticipantCyborg person. Work in progress.
SulemanParticipantI tried out finishing the water effects, but I wasn’t satisfied with the end result. In the process, I also made this alternate unarmored version of the character. Perhaps a bit more fitting for the environment.
SulemanParticipantI made an adventurer.
I tried to work in a water effect, but it doesn’t seem to work terribly well.
Any tips on how to get a wet look?
SulemanParticipantNice! I have to say, I’m especially impressed by how you did the snow. I should try that out myself.
SulemanParticipantDamn. That’s some impressive shading right there.
SulemanParticipantThanks! I wasn’t actually fully satisfied with the pose, so I made version that changes the foot a little bit.
SulemanParticipantAMS: Nice! That’s an excellent and interesting take on the character. With all that tech and lights, it seems like an extreme 90s version of him. I can dig that.
