StulteParticipantThanks a lot! I’ll be adding a few more portraits before I’m done with him, but I think I’ll concentrate on something else for a while. Can’t just make the same character over and over.
A Toa (warrior) of Tu’i Manu’a Malae; Queen of Transaequaria.
Transaequaria being the European name of an alternate history Polynesia.
StulteParticipantLooking good so far, I’d say.
StulteParticipantThanks, man! I was trying for a “less is more” effect with both of those so I’m glad that seems to work
Final contest entry: Locust
On their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.
StulteParticipantContest entry number two: Be Not Afraid
StulteParticipantGorilla
StulteParticipantMade myself a seraph for the contest on the blog.
StulteParticipantI’m going to have to say Robert Maclaighean. He’s a vital character from the alternate history setting I’m working on (basically he’s one of the aspects that cause this version of history to be wildly different from ours). He’s not the hero of the setting, but he’s not a villain either
I also always like characters who constantly go through changes. Maclaighean goes from foppish brat to whiny foot soldier to badass officer to tactical revolutionary to rebellious freedom fighter to bitter despot. Reality catches up with him, and all he has fought for crumbles to dust in his fingers.
StulteParticipantThank you, all! Really appreciate the nice comments
I’ve been absent for a while due to work and a period of illness. Not entirely thrilled about the new format of the forum, to be honest. Seems like a lot of vertical space is wasted, which restricts the width of the pictures. But whatever, I can live with that.
Anyway, I made something:
Robert Maclaighean. Former count of Argyll, former Lord Protector of The Caledonian Free State. Executed in Aachen for high treason, rebellious actions against the Union and her people, mass murder and unrepentant heresy. Aged 64.
Really happy with the face on this one.
And don’t worry, you haven’t seen the last of the count quite yet.
StulteParticipantBrilliant designs! Beautiful ideas executed awesomely.
StulteParticipantLaela Moonstorm is so perfect she almost pisses me off
StulteParticipantHeh, nice one. I can relate.
StulteParticipantThat is awesome!
StulteParticipantExcellent design! Would love to see more of you work.
