In honor of the beginning of the NFL season this week, here is a look into the future – the 2168 official photo of a player from the WFL’s Pretoria Lions.

That’s great. Sometimes I can figure out what you have done on my own, but it is nice to see your step-by-step thought process. Thank you.

The black portions of Blaze’s costume actually look like Lycra or spandex. Nice.

Atomic, a little back-story: the hero’s name is Jet Dynamo. He has a very strong personal electro-magnetic field that he channels through his body suit to power his equipment, including his jet pack and gold pistols that fire lightning bolts.

    Normally he looks like this.

In the cover above, the dastardly villain is ripping the field from Jet Dynamo’s body to power his doomsday device.

The bar has just been raised! (High Five Wink) I haven’t done a cover in a while, so now I have a little more to study. Where did you get the fonts? And is Obsidian Fox any relation to Restoration Fox and Obsidian Tiger?

Thanks. Nice observation about Obsidian Fox. Yes, Obsidian Tiger had an affair with Restoration Fox’s daughter.
The fonts are from free downloads from fontspace.com

Thanks Jeimuzu. I was trying to do velvet, dunno if it really worked, but it looks cool.

It definitely reads as velvet – probably helped by the suggestion of the color and clothing items; I own that suit jacket.

Very kind words, Atomic. I’m not by nature a joiner, but support like yours is one of the reason I joined the HeroMachine community! I’m also not by nature a user of exclamation points (the punctuation equivalent of the high-five [ugh]) but you drove me to it.

Thanks, Atomic. I put together the pose a while ago for one of wmdbassplayer’s characters. It’s not perfect but I think it captures the spirit of the reference drawing.

As for the transparent star on the S, sorry to disappoint but its a font I found on fontspace.com that I layered in Photoshop.
