RobMParticipantI love your approach to color. It’s soft and beautiful and immediately recognizable as your work. MysIllusion’s broach is also particularly well executed.
RobMParticipantI’ve been thinking about this for awhile – Who’s Who style pages for the Sentinels universe. The drawings are HeroMachine; the typesetting and page layout were done in Adobe InDesign. I started with Lodestar Comics’ core character, Genesis. Here is his entry from the Lodestar Universe Compendium.
This is a much reduced copy because the original was too large to upload. To read the text you can go here http://www.robertmckercher.com/CompendiumGenesis3.pdf

Thanks HK.
I seem to be on a roll today. This next one just sorta came out of nowhere. I really thought I’d done something unique here, and then I remembered RobM had beaten me to it by a good few months with Moonrise. Oh well, still a cool effect.Yes, that effect is quite striking. Glad I could contribute to the community’s tool kit.

RobMParticipantStill pen and ink but a slightly different technique. You’re right; the red tinge is from the scanning.

RobMParticipantMy wife and I have an inside joke about the disappointing toy children get instead of what they really want for Christmas. We call it the Hairy Magoo. At her insistence, I used HeroMachine to illustrate what I imagine the Hairy Magoo would look like.
