Even when all I’m trying to do is design a costume or work out a pose, I feel like an picture with flat colors is unfinished somehow – not others’ work, mind you, just my own. It’s probably a sickness of some kind.

I took all the ideas onboard and this is the result. I must say I am very proud of this one. It’s one of those rare occasions where the finished product came out better than I’d envisioned. Once again I have to thank RobM for the pose.

I don’t know why but I really love doing pieces of Lili and Danni. I mean considering they were originally just throw-away characters I did in the middle of last summer whilst I was just madly hero machining to get away from all the stuff that had happened to me and my family at the time, I just sort of fell in love with them as characters, especially after I wrote out personality profiles for them. So you might be seeing more of these two in the future.

Thanks, I specifically tried to avoid being too derivative of the look of Who’s Who and the Marvel Handbook.

You should give it a try. It was fun to flesh out back stories for characters who were up to that point sketches at best. Not to mention trying to come up with a suitably bombastic but still generic Golden Age anthology comic book title that didn’t already exist.
