    Indigo Beetle

Indigo Beetle is Danny Garret, grandson of the original Blue Beetle and has inherited some of his grandfathers powers (super strength and healing abilities, increased speed, heightened senses, and enhanced intellectual capacity), but like his gramps he also uses sophisticated technology to fight crime.

Indigo Beetle is based on the public domain character Blue Beetle (Fox Features): http://pdsh.wikia.com/wiki/Blue_Beetle_(Fox)

    Story:

The life of Peter Kitt changed forever on a day in 1942 when he sailed aboard his grandfather’s merchant marine ship off the east coast of the United States. The ship was sunk by an Axis submarine and when its crew tried to leap to safety, they were all shot by the Nazis β€” including Peter himself.

Critically wounded and actually clinically dead for a few minutes, the ship’s doctor of an American destroyer, which had chased the submarine off, managed to resuscitate the boy but at this point he had already suffered permanent brain damage due to lack of oxygen when he drowned.

While making a quick physically recovery, Peter soon experienced extrasensory perceptions and started to see the ghosts of his dead grandfather and other people who had died in the course of the recent events. And shortly after that he developed the strange ability to turn both invisible and intangible himself – literally becoming a ghost capable to levitate and fly as weel as pass through objects if he wished.

Unable to understand what was really happening to him, his already damaged mind suddenly “remembered” a near death experience and manifested an imaginary ghostly being called “Mr. Keeper” who was able to give the child a reasonable explanation for what he experienced – at least from his irretrievably delusional point of view.

“Mr. Keeper” told him that he had mistakenly cut the boys life short some seventy-five years before his predestined time and not only brought Peter back from the afterlife but also bestowed upon him supernatural powers as sort of an atonement.

Imagination aside, Peter had in fact the eery ability to summon an unlimited number of dead people from “the afterlife” as well as to call upon “gods”, “fictional characters” and other mythological or legendary characters to aid him.

Now calling himself “Kid Eternity”, he used his new found powers to fight both the Nazis and criminals. It’s probably thanks to these powers and his heroic deeds that he was not institutionalized every time he talked to his non-existent friend.

Over the years, growing up and learning more about his powers, the visits of “Mr. Keeper” became less frequent and Peter eventually realized that when he summoned so-called “comic book characters” he actually teleported real superheroes from different realities and points in time to his earth and ultimately became able to travel through the multiverse himself.

Wandering countless alternative earths for the next decades, he some day felt that the time of his predicted death was approximating and when he came to a world where superheroes were dismissed by common sense as fairy tales and supernatural abilities were believed to exist only in the realm of fiction, he decided it was time to finally take action and become really “eternal”.

Uh, where did you dig up this old threat? That almost borders on grave desecration … πŸ˜€

To answer your question: With a loooot of square insignias in combination with the masking tool. But just to be safe: Please don’t copy my design and come up with something of your own. (No offense!) πŸ˜‰
