My entry to the CDC “Old School Energy Blaster” and my first new character in what feels like an eternity:
LORD MIT’NAL of the XI’bala
The Xi’bala are an alien species of ferocious warlords from an alternate (steampunk) universe where earth’s history took a change of course when an ancient nuclear-powered alien starship was discovered beneath stonehenge in 1886 and therefore the industrial revolution was altered. (For more background see “The Travellers” a few pages back – basically, I just replaced the Harvesters by the Xi’bala since I want to reserve the Harvesters for my main universe.)

I have to fall into line here – very cool! I just have the feeling that the head is a little bit too small for the body. But maybe that’s simply a question of perspective, which I suck at…

Great works, dude! Those last few pieces (especially the robot tinkerer) inspire me to improve my own work. And my first thought for your latest piece was “So, I’ll go to hell. Doesn’t matter – I don’t know anybody in heaven anyway…”

We had spring like weather here for the last two months but they forecasted the winter to finally come this weekend. Hope it won’t get as cold as last year in January. We had -19 degrees Celsius (-2.2 °F) for several weeks back then. I hate wintertime…
