Now working on the profile cards for my 50 state heroes (anybody remember those?), I realized that some of them desperately need to be revised. So, let’s get started then, shall we?!

And last, but not least, there is Herakles, god of strength and labors:
Due to the never-ending quarrel between him and his wicked stepmother Hera, the openly bisexual Herakles has a rather reserved relationship with his father and his company. Despite the fact that he is one of the main shareholders of the EOS Corporation, his involvement in the company is marginal. Instead he concentrates his business ambitions entirely on his chain of boxing gyms, fitness centers and health clubs across the country.Glad you like it! I had a good reference picture… 😉
Now, to finish up my greek gods modernization.
This is Aphrodite, goddess of love, beauty and desire:
Arriving in the modern day world, Aphrodite, as a rather hedonistic goddess, used her special „talents“ to build up an „Empire of Love“. Or at least that‘s what she called her first brothel in the 1940s New York. Today, in the 21st century she operates a highly prestigious matchmaking service for the upper class, which simultaneously serves as a cover for a thriving deluxe escort agency that provides high class call girls and call boys to financially well situated and politically influential clients all over the world. This way she became one of the most sought-after personalities of Hollywood, Washington and New York‘s Upper West Side – albeit behind closed doors.<hr />
Her ex-husband is Hephaistos, god of fire, the forge, smiths and metalworking, and the weapons-maker of Olympus:
Not the most handsome of the gods and accidentally crippled by his own mother in a fit of rage, Hephaistos was always an outsider of sorts and prefered a solitary life as a smith renowned for his skills in inventing flawless weapons and traps. Arriving in the 21st century, he consequently became the world leader in the development of munitions and a major supplier of arms for both corporate and government concerns. Nearly all of Ares‘ „Blackwater Worldwide“ ordnance and equipment is based on Hephaistos‘ technology. Aggressively developing new technologies, Hephaistos‘ company now starts to branch out into other scientific fields including robotics, nano-technology and fringe science.Thanks Vampy! As the mistress of all forms of wisdom, such as philosophy, psychology, problem-solving and rational strategy, Athena is the most trusted advisor of her father Zeus and as such became, amongst others, both the CTO (chief technical officer) and the CIO (chief information officer) of the EOS Corporation. Beyond that she is also responsible for marketing strategies, information procurement, below-the-line advertising efforts, and many things more. She is a sort of whizz kid when it comes to corporation management.Here comes Hera, goddess of women, marriage and fidelity:
Hera is Zeus’ wife (but not his biological sister – even if Nai’vil tend to consider themselves all brothers and sisters regardless of their family tree) and concurrently vice president of the EOS Corporation. Primarily responsible for EOS’ public relations, she ensures that the company’s not so legitimate activities remain hidden in the eyes of the government by secretly pulling the strings of many political decision makers. As a very prolific lobbyist, she is about to make a stellar career in the political theatre of Washington.
