Ok, there are two methods. The first would be to upload the file like you would a picture. After you do this it will look like it had not uploaded but it has ( unless the file is too big which is should tell you that ) What you need to do next is click the View Existing File Uploads button. It will open a menu with folders named for the year in which you uploaded the file 12 should be the only one there right now. Click on the text for that folder and it will open a menu of folders with each month in that year that you have uploaded files by the number of the month Decemeber of course being 12. Click on the files text and your upload should be there. Click on the file once and it will insert a link to the file in your post.

The Second method would be to click the code button in the tool bar at the top text field past your test string in, and click the code button again. If you use this method I would suggest putting it all inside spoiler tags

Recently Some of you have been letting me know that you have been having problems uploading text files. I have been informed that even though the files are smaller then the listed limit that the site is not allowing you to uploading claiming the file size it to large. I have spoken to Jeff about this and he has increased the file size limit to hopefully address this problem. If anyone still can not upload a picture because it says the file is to big please let me know in this thread or via PM right away.

Edited to Add: Though only pure unedited Heromachine creations ( except for cropping ) can be entered into the Hero Of the Month competition or any of the other contests on these forums and the blog unless the contest creator states otherwise.

Hmmm, what size is the file ? here is the listed size limit for text files

File upload constraints: Size (bytes): 51200

If it is smaller then that it should be fine.

upload the text files the same way you would your pictures. It will look like nothing happened after you uploaded it. What you do next is click view existing files in the upload manager and click on the folder for the current year, and then look for the number folder for the month you uploaded the picture in, in this case 11 and click it. Jeff is still working on a few new items, converting the male versions of items over to female versions a few other things in the program. HM won’t be for sale as an offline version until that is finished.

Something I will mention also, when clicking on the folders be sure you click on the text and not the icon, stupid me got frustrated at first because nothing was happening when I was clicking on the icons and took me a while to figure out that the text is the link not the icon.

I like the idea of a community vote using the PollDaddy system as long as we can do a vote for the Top 3 choices where the min and max vote is three entries. I don’t think Polldaddy can do the 3 vote no less no more thing, but I know that polldaddy can be locked so it accepts only one vote per IP address. Also, you should PM HammerKnight about your contest idea, and discuss some detail with him, though I like the idea of getting prizes for contests again, I also don’t want to over work you dblade.
