Nah, I’m not gonna remove it. But still, list of things I’d talk about if I did COTW. The background (the light effects to make it look more water like, the rain effects on the surface), the pose (which is incredible), how you made the tail (which is my favourite part), the costume and hair, and the shading obviously. So basically all of it. 😉

I like how you’ve done the Torc (I think that’s how it’s spelt), very creative.

As for picture hosts, well I use Deviantart and they haven’t let me down, but photo bucket seems to work as well.

Ok first thing I would suggest for when zypping is lower the Alpha setting on the highlights a bit, to maybe around 60- 75% (sometimes lower depending on the colour), because unless you’re going for a latex look, no fabrics shine like that. Secondly, watch your lines when highlighting. If a shine crosses over the top of a line, especially an border between colour changes, item changes or the body’s natural boundaries, it doesn’t look right. There are a number of ways you can avoid this. Firstly masking the highlight to the object, which is quick and simple, but can build up the layers if you want to mask multiple highlights to the same object, as you’ll need multiples of the same object. Second, if you want to have a large section of highlight over an item with a lot of detailing lines, is make the one highlight large enough to cover the whole area, then add another multiple of the object you are covering over it and make the Alpha settings on the first and second colours of that object 0%, leaving just the black outline. Or thirdly, make your highlights small enough to fit around the lines.

In some places, especially the neck and shoulders, your highlighting seems a bit random, I’d maybe go back and change a few bits. The highlight on the neck needs to be wider and shorter, the two symmetrical highlights on the shoulder piece need to be longer so they cover more area, and you need to get rid of the diagonal highlight on the right shoulder, because it just doesn’t look right and isn’t repeated on the left shoulder.

Also, you should consider adding shadows to your character if you’ve added highlights, it really makes the character pop. It’s the same principle as highlighting, but you just use a darker colour (usually a lowered alpha setting black) instead of a lighter colour. Always look to shade where there would be a shadow cast on the body by natural light, so under the chin, under the arms and between the legs are the basic places, then where ever your costume would cast shadows, so there would be shadows from the body/ legs on the cape for example.

Valaran Soul Wielder Corps: Guardian Core

Soul Branch: Light

Strongest Magics: Radiant Ascent, Fates Bound (Mixed Magics, Light/ Death, Level 6- Counter Spells)

Notes: The current Light Wielder of the Guardian Core, Kaibai Minamo may be the strongest of the Core, but Yura Illex is surely the most important. As long as the Guardian Core has existed Light has always been represented, as it is the only branch of magic to contain Counter Spells against the Death Branch. The Light’s job amongst the core is simple, if a great enough threat appears, they must destroy it using the Fates Bound spell (the only spell of the Death Branch that is allowed to be taught, and then only by the Light of the Core to their chosen successor). The Fates Bound spell ties the fate of the caster to that of the caster of the last Death Branch spell; put simply the spell is a suicide pact. Yura Illex personally, always appears full of cheer and a love for life. However, this behaviour has been noted amongst many of her predecessors, as a way of coping with the burden of their purpose.

Character Building Notes: Yura and Sempi were neighbours growing up and Yura often babysat Sempi, making the two very close, almost as close as sisters.

OH MY GOD. I have just found my new favourite item to rainbowtize (is that even a word? It is now). Those boots look AMAZING! (As one has said before, one can never have too many rainbows).

Notes: The strongest member and leader of the Guardian Core, Kaibai Minamo is not only noteworthy from his power, but also for his discipline and control. He undertakes rigorous training daily, physical, magical and mental. His assignation was given to him even before he joined the Guardian Core, as he famously slew a Wyrm that attacked the town of Malnaroa whilst he was still part of the Corps, the first Wielder in a century to fight and kill a dragon.

World Building Fact: The Guardian Core is a quartet of the four strongest Soul Wielders in Valara, who act as the Valaran King’s personal body guard. They also oversee the activities of all Corps divisions, approving missions, academy teachings and promotions within the Corps ranks.

@andyko888- what I’d suggest doing is, if you look at the top of the item select box on the Heromachine Application, there will be two buttons, one that says singles, one that says multiples. Select multiples and it will allow you to select multiple objects from the category. If you then select an item a bar will appear along the bottom of the item you selected on the item select box. Click the flip tool on that bar (it’s the second to last one, next to the X) and it will flip the items orientation, in this case from right to left. All you need to do then is move it into place.

Notes: A second generation Juturan immigrant, Kortz has shown extraordinary resolve in dealing with the problems his parentage caused him and his family. Gaining entry into the academy through sheer skill and hard work, he has proved to be a great asset to the Truth Corps, an intelligent scholar and brilliant translator. However, whilst he is still part of the Corps, he shall stay under observation, as per army policy.
