    Name: Trinity Foster
    Birthday: 28th June
    Height: 5.7ft/ 1.73m
Occupation: Contracts and Rights Assistant (Literary Publishing)
Personality: Shy, Reserved, Inquisitive, Mainly Chill But Very Passionate About Things That Are Important To Her
Likes: Fantasy & Sci-Fi, Reading, Video Games, Drawing, Heavy Music (Metal/Goth/Emo/Hardcore)
Dislikes: Really Sweet Food, Horror Movies, Bigots (obvs)

    Extra Facts:
-Trinity is really, really into Fantasy. Books, games, films, you name it, if it’s fantasy, she likes it. Her favourite games of all time are Skyrim and the Dark Souls series (yes, even DS2), and she is a big Tolkien nerd. She also loves DnD. She even managed to get Lili and Lauren into it, then one thing led to another, Danni and Sarah got dragged in (in Danni’s case literally. I don’t think any of the girls could drag Sarah if they tried) and now Trinity hoasts a DnD evening every Thursday at her house.
-Trinity has a younger sister called Maisie, who is deaf. As such, Trinity learnt sign language from a very young age. She is very close with her sister and Maisie was actually the first person Trinity came out to. It was only through Maisie’s support that Trinity found the strength to come out to her parents and Maisie was excellent emotional support throughout Trinity’s transition.
-Trinity used to be in a band in school. They were a metal band and she was the singer. Unfortunately, they didn’t get far, their style of music wasn’t exactly very popular around the school and Trinity never felt comfotable performing in front of all of the teachers and students, because she was afraid people would laugh at her. She looks back on this period of her life with some embaressment now, both because it was before she tranistioned and because, well, they were pretty rubbish.

    Name: Lauren Keiler
    Birthday: April 7th
    Height: 5.4ft/ 1.67m (Standing)
    Occupation: Wheelchair Sports Instructor
Personality: Optimistic, Honest, Open To New Experiances, Compassionate, Good Listener, Patient
Likes: Being Active, Dancing, Anime/Manga, Trying New Things, Sushi, Chinese Food
Dislikes: Close-Minded People, Places With No Wheelchair Access, Having Her Legs Touched

    Extra Facts:
-Lauren was left wheelchair bound after she was hit by a drunk driver on her 19th birthday. The crash left her with damage to her L1-L5 vertebrae as well as a severely fractured pelvis and varying levels of temporary and permenant damage done to her legs. She isn’t paralyzed, but her lower body motor functions are highly impared. She could technically walk, with the aid of crutches and with someone around to help her, but the amount of effort she has to go through to make even a couple of steps makes a wheelchair her prefered way of getting around. The accident also left her dealing with a nasty bout of depression which she only really started to overcome when she discovered wheelchair sports and her current job.
-Lauren, being a massive weeb, loves going to anime and gaming conventions. She goes to any she can get time off to go to (sometimes she’ll take one of the other girls too, if they aren’t busy). She has always wanted to go to a convention in cosplay, but buying costumes is expensive (especially when you’re going to conventions on her salary) and she cannot sew to save her life, so making her own costumes is out of the question.
-Lauren is bi and actually kinda has a crush on Sarah. She realised this when she lived with Sarah. Because the house didn’t have a ground floor bedroom, Sarah would sometimes carry Lauren up the stairs. At first Lauren was a bit uncomfortable and a little resentful having someone else assist her in doing something so trivial, but those feelings were soon replaced by  confusion of how much she was enjoying the experiance. After a while, she stopped fighting it althogether, but Sarah, being Sarah, never noticed.

    Name: Sarah Williams
    Birthday: June 7th
    Height: 6.3ft/ 1.92m
    Occupation: Fitness Instructor/ Personal Trainer
Personality: Cheerful, Outgoing, Confident, Motivated, Stubborn, Assertive
Likes: Working Out, Dogs, Punk Rock, Action Movies, Cold Weather
Dislikes: Bugs, Unsolicited Remarks About Her Body, Will Ferrell movies, Hot Weather

    Extra Facts:
-Sarah was the one who introduced Lili and Danni. She has been Danni’s friend since childhood (their mothers where old school friends) and she met and became friends with Lili at uni (through Sarah’s then boyfriend).
-Sarah has an unfortunate habit of saying the first thing that comes to her mind sometimes. Normal it isn’t a problem, but she has an unfortunate habit of doing it at the worst possible time. For example, when she first found out that Trinity was trans the first thing she did was ask if she still had a penis. She has yet to live that one down (though, at least, Trinity did forgive her).
-Lili made the very stupid mistake of hiring Sarah as her personal trainer. As good of friends as they may be, when it comes to work, Sarah is a hard taskmaster. Problem is, because they’re friends, Sarah knows all of Lili’s bad habits which means Lili can’t get away with anything. At least the training is showing results, although Lili isn’t planning on going quite as far as Sarah with the whole “getting in shape” thing.

So, since I’ve redesigned Lili, Danni and Sarah, I thought I’d add Lauren in, make a new character and throw them all in to a group shot so we can compare heights and all that jazz. Also, as Sarah and Lauren aren’t that well developed compared to Lili and Danni (who, in fairness, are my most developed characters) and we have a new character to introduce, I thought I’d do 5 facts for each of the non-Lili/Danni girls. There might also be an extra bonus fact for one of the girls hidden in the picture for you to find. I’ll be interested to see if anyone does get it.

    Anyway, Facts:

    Sarah Williams

-Sarah is very awkward when it comes to public displays of affection. For someone so outgoing and confident, she can be very easily flustered by romantic gestures and flirting especially, even when it’s not serious or done in a joking fashion. Lili is especially good at getting under Sarah’s skin like this, she knows exactly what pushes her buttons. It even got so far as Lili kissing Sarah once (it was a bet), which ended with Lili on the floor with the force of Sarah pushing her away.

-Sarah is really into crossfit. She works out every day, on top of her job as a personal trainer, and makes absolutely sure that she eats as healthy possible. She also practices Tae Kwon Do and is a black belt in Judo. As one might expect, her size and lifestyle have earned her the affectionate nickname of “She-Hulk” from the rest of the girls.

-Sarah is actually one of the shorter members of her family. Her father is 6 foot 5 and her brother is even taller. Only her mother is under 6 foot tall and even then, she’s only a couple of inches under. Sarah used to find her height a hinderance, she got picked on as a kid for being lanky and at uni she would find it hard to find guys who weren’t intimidated by her height. But since she started getting more into working out, she’s leaned into it. Being big and buff really scares off more annoying guys.

-Sarah used to surf when she was a teenager. However, when she moved away to uni she found she had less time to do so anymore (plus a lack of anywhere to surf was a big problem). She has tried to get back into it every so often, but more recent interests tend to take precedent.

-Sarah loves dogs, especially big dogs. She has a German Shepard called Roman and she spoils him rotten. He’s a big mummies boy and loves his cuddles. He also adores Danni and whenever she’s round he will snuggle up to her on the sofa and rest his head on her lap for her to fuss him. He does have a habit of charging at people and almost tackling them to the ground when he’s happy to see them, which always seems to be a problem for Danni, because Roman can legitimately knock her over, and Lauren has caught a few accidental headbutts as well.

    Lauren Keiler

-Lauren can speak fluent French. Her Grandmother (mother’s mother) was originally from Lille and fled France with her parents when the Germans invaded in 1940. All of the family on that side speak French and family holidays were often taken in various parts of France.

-Before the accident that led to her being in a wheelchair, Lauren used to love to dance. She did ballet as a child and learned many different types of classical and contemporary dance styles in specialist dance classes growing up. Since her accident, she learned how to do wheelchair dancing and helps run a local group specialising in wheelchair based physical activities such as sports and dance. She did also once try to take up Wheelchair Freestyle (doing tircks on skate ramps in a wheelchair), but that ended with her in the hospital and a hard ban on her ever trying again from pretty much everyone in her life.

-Lauren is a total weeb. She loves anime, collects manga, she’s trying to teach herself Japanese (she isn’t as successful at it as with French, possibly because she doesn’t have too many people to practice with). She even once wrote a short story where a totally-not-a-self-insert-character girl in a wheelchair gained magical powers from a mystical samurai ghost and fought all kinds of demons. It wasn’t very good.

-When Lauren moved out of her parents house, she managed to find a perfect rental property close to her work that was wheelchair accessable. She couldn’t believe her luck. And then, after a year, the landlord decided to sell and gave Lauren 2 months (the minimum amount of time legally allowed) to get out. Unable to find a new house sutible, Lauren was looking at either moving back in with her parents miles away from her work and having to give up her job, or living on the streets. However, Sarah offered to put her up at her house until she managed to get her situation sorted. Lauren has taken it upon herself to try and find some act of kindness of comparable size to pay Sarah back, which Sarah just greats with amused bemusement.

-It takes a lot to make Lauren angry, she has a very even temper and a positive disposition. But when she gets angry, keep back, she’s vicious. Also, she really doesn’t like having her legs touched. The easiest way to get Lauren pissed is to touch her legs. Don’t do it if you value your life. Even Roman knows not to jump onto Laurens lap, he just sits next to her wheelchair like a good boy.

    Trinity Foster

-Trinity is trans and started to transition as soon as she hit 16. She’s been living as a woman for 10 years now and lots of her friends don’t even know she is trans. Of course, it was hard for her to come out to her parents, they did have a bit of a hard time accepting it (her Dad more-so than her Mum), but they are supportive of her at least.

-Trinity is an artist and she met Lili online when Lili retweeted a fan-art Trinity had done of a video game. One thing led to another and they got talking, bonding over their shared love of video games and their simular music tastes. When they realised they lived not too far appart, a meet up had to happen and the rest is history.

-Trinity can do screamo vocals. She doesn’t show it off much because a) it’s really awkward to do in public without music and b) it makes her kinda self-conscious doing something that she associates with sounding masculine (even though she really doesn’t sound masculine at all when she does scream). Of course, Lili absolutely loves it and is constantly encouraging Trinity to work on her vocals.

-Trinity chose her name because she was a big fan of the Matrix films when she was younger. She’s kinda embarressed by that fact now.

-Trinity, up until recently, worked at a publishing house, working in the copyright department. However, she was quietly let go a few days after making a formal complaint (and an informal tweet) about one of the publishers biggest selling writers transphobic tweets.

I actually got something done for Pride month. Woop.

So, if I’d planned, I’d have posted my PRIDE redesigns this month, but I did them early and then didn’t have anything else to post, so they went up early. Then I had planned a special commission for this Pride month, but I wanted a specific person to do it and they weren’t available, so that was out (though, hopefully, that is still in the pipeline. Also, speaking of which, if you want to see any of the art I’ve previously commissioned, check out my Deviantart Page (same username). I tend not to post it here because it isn’t Heromachine stuff). So instead, I went back to a very old and well trodden path.

Also, people may have notice that some rather major reversions have happened, alongside some more sublte changes. Yup, I got rid of pretty much all of Lili’s tattoos. As much as I loved the floral sleeve, it was too unweildy if I was going to do any poses that didn’t involve Lili having her arm in one position and one position only. So I reverted back to original Lili (including hair) and changed her original tattoo to something that didn’t involve any work beyond one thing being masked.

As for the more subtle changes, well, both girls now have unique body shapes. Lili has a much shallower waist without being super thin and I’ve changed up Danni’s stomach area and done a little trick on her legs and hips to give her a much fuller figure (not that you can really tell all that much after costumes have been added, but oh well). Also, another reason for the changes/ simplification is that, well, these guys might be another thing I look at getting a commission done for and I know from the last time I got these guys done that Lili’s sleeve is no bueno. I can’t believe Cat didn’t kill me for making her draw all those freaking flowers.

Oh, and I put Danni in the wash on too high a setting and she shrunk….
Yeah, I adjusted their heights, Lili’s now probably around 5’11 to 6’1 and Danni is between 5’3 to 5’5. Dunno why, I just think the size difference is cute I guess.

    Name: Kate Quinn

    Alias: Nemesis

    Other Aliases: Red Kite

    Powers: Superhuman Strength (5x Normal Human Maximum)/ Reflexes/ Reactions/ Agility/ Balance/ Coordination/ Stamina/ Senses.

Bio: Formerly known as Red Kite, Kate Quinn had to abandon her former identity when she was captured and outed by Criminal Enterprises. Whilst being held by CE, Kate was also experimented on by the organisations scientists, who wanted to try to replicate her powers. Whilst they were semi-successful, they also mutated Kate’s power set. She no longer has her talons, but in their place have come a bevy of upgrades to her other abilities, now being stronger, faster and more agile than ever before. Now going by the pseudonym Nemesis, Kate switched to a new suit created by Maiti Boyce (aka Silkworm) that augments her powers further, thanks to its flexible but durable fabric that comes with the bonus of special grip pads on the gloves and shoes that give Kate the ability to stick to and move around on practically any vertical or horizontal surface.

The premier superhero outfitter in the world, Maiti Boyce (Mathilda to her parents, but she’ll never let anyone else call her that) has the unusual ability to produce silk-like thread from special glands in her finger tips. These threads can take on a variety of properties, depending on what Maiti wants, so they can be sticky, soft, sharp, fireproof, waterproof, insulate electricity, anything really. They are also very strong and very flexible, perfect for making clothes. Maiti did try to have a career in superheroics under the pseudonym Silkworm, but her powers just weren’t suited to fighting crime. So instead she turned her attention to fashion, apprenticing herself to a noted fashion designer and hiring out her ability to create thread to anyone who wanted something unique. Now she runs her own business making high-end clothing, with a side-business providing supersuits for superheroes. Unfortunately for most people, Maiti can only produce so much thread at a time, so her designs remain prohibitively exclusive.

So, here’s a rarity. Haven’t done a posed picture like this in a good few years. There’s also a version with a background if you wanna have a look at that (that’s even more of a rarity, something I haven’t done in 5 years) and let me know which one you prefer.

Anyway, I decided to update Sarah from my Lili & Danni series. Considering she was a personal trainer and all round gym nut originally, I tried to buff her up a bit and I might have gone slightly overboard, but oh well.

“People say that having superpowers is a gift, but just look at me. I’m a freak, everywhere I go people just stop and stare, and who can blame them? I look like a human disco ball. I can’t ever live a normal life because of that. I can’t ever just be me. I mean, sure, I can’t get hurt, but you know what, I can’t feel anything. I can’t feel pain, but I can’t feel your touch if you were to put your hand on mine either. I can’t feel the warmth of another person, just the sharp, the hard and the cold. All because of this stupid power that I got that I don’t want. *Sigh* But, I guess, if I got it, I might as well help people with it right?”

So, guys, I’d kinda like feedback on this character. I tried to go for a more athletic body-type, but I’m not entirely happy with it and I can’t put my finger on why. So if you have any suggestions on how to improve it they’d be very welcome.
Also, I have no hero name for this character. Originally she was going to be called Knock Out (her powers being enhanced strength and invulnerability), but then, whilst I was making the superhero costume, I noticed that Anarchangel already has a character called Knock Out. Problem is, I can’t think of another name that fits, so any ideas?

Captain Silas Connolly was just your normal everyday cop (well, one who had previously worked as a cab driver, but that’s not that important), before he gained super-powers. It’s not really clear how he got super-powers, as those born with natural powers usually manifest much earlier, though some say it might be down to Criminal Enterprises and their gene editing program, though who a cop would be working with Criminal Enterprises is… well, let’s just say it shouldn’t be happening. With his new superhuman strength, Connolly became a police sponsored superhero, somewhat of a mascot for the force if you will. And as you might expect, he was a smash hit with anyone who only saw him on TV. He has managed to take down some supervillains, like Major League and Spectrum. And he did once manage to beat Earthshaper from Pride, although Earthshaper wasn’t fighting back and Connolly was trying to arrest him for a crime commited by someone else, so it probably won’t be in the highlight reels. Problem is, he’s a bit too zealous when it comes to exercising his new powers, he’ll often use them when inappropriate for the situation just because he can, and he has gotten quite a few complaints, even from members of the superhuman community, with whom Connolly has had numerous fights and is not popular (he’s even been given the nickname The Brute by certain members of the community because, well, he is). Fortunately, he hasn’t killed anyone (if you don’t count that time from before he got his powers, when he shot the man in the back as he was running away, but that was ruled as in self-defence and therefore justified. Oh and that time where he accidentally punch a man into the pavement trying to subdue him during a traffic stop. What Connolly was doing making a traffic stop is unknown, he’s only meant to be fighting supervillains now). More worryingly however, is his apparent friendship with Christian Adamson, aka White Hope from The Golden Cross, and the fact that his Uncle is a confirmed member of The Knights of Purity. Of course, none of this matters to his fellow officers (well apart from that one snitch who got kicked from the force a few months ago for complaining too much about officers “not following procedure” and “being to violent”), who all seem to look up to Connolly and don’t try to reign him in when he gets a bit out of hand.

(Don’t know if I’m on the nose enough with this one)

Ever since he was young, all Clinton Quade wanted to do was be a pro-baseball player. Not just any player though, he wanted to be the star, the next Babe Ruth. He did everything he could to be the best, he was always practicing, learning everything he could down to the tiniest detail on how to improve his game. Oh and he actively injured anyone who he thought would outshine him on any team he was ever on, sucked up to coaches and school management, and was basically just the worst type of jock you’d ever hope to never meet. But it worked. He got his try out with a major team, got signed… and then immediately picked up a career threatening injury in practice and got dropped from the team.

Unable to take the fact that his dream had disappeared right before his eyes, Quade set his sights on another goal. He would take out all of his frustrations on the world and become the greatest supervillain of all time. To that end, he acquired an experimental drug from Criminal Enterprises and gained the ability to super-charge objects with kinetic energy, alongside perfect aim and superhuman reflexes. Using these new powers, he donned a baseball inspired costume to become Major League, “the next big thing in supervillainy”. Unfortunately for Quade, his gimmick has made him decidedly minor league in terms of villains, and he’s now pretty much a laughing stock. I mean, have you ever tried hitting someone who is practically invulnerable with a baseball bat?
