You know dude, you freaked me out when I came onto this page and saw a picture of Namor on here. You’re getting by on a technicality at the moment (the notes on the Public Domain Comics page saying that the first appearances of the character aren’t copyright), but I’m going to run this past Jeff and see what he says, so you might have to remove it at some point, we’ll see what he says.

    Anyway, something different now.

@HerrD- The page thing seems to happen when a thread gets past a certain number of pages. For me it’s 75 pages so I’ve never had it for Vengeance, it always happens on mine, AMS and Anarchangel’s pages. It’s a forum glitch from when the forums went down last year and had to be switched to a new server, we’ve never been able to fix it. I don’t do bands (on heromachine) because it’s not something that ever appealed to me. Making a full band performance shot would look very flat with standard poses and I’m not good enough to pull of the perspective and poses I’d want to make what I consider a “decent band picture”. As for album covers? That’s a really, really broad field and, like with band pictures, it’s not something that ever appealed to me. The heromachine style could work on an album cover, but the tool is very limited and I think the only person who could really do an album cover that would look professional enough would be DeliriousAl. I know I certainly would likely never be happy with one I made. I dunno. (Actually sounds like a good idea for a CDC, might mention it to djuby). As for the email, yeah I got it. TBH, I meant to email you back but something happened (I think I might have got the email right before I went to work) and then I completely forgot because so much other stuff happened before I could get round to it. Yeah, if you could send me it. Word will be fine. Cheers.

Welcome to the forums. Unfortunately, I’ve had to remove the image from your first post as it is against the forum rule concerning copyrighted characters. Please make sure to read the forum rules before posting. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

@C Hero- As I said, make sure you read the forum rules. Toy lines are covered by copyright as well, and putting a picture proving you’re breaking the forum rules alongside your picture isn’t exactly helping yourself is it.

Edit: And swearing is also against the forum rules, we try to keep things as PG as possible around here.

Oh, and for your information few things.

Firstly, the rule against copyrighted characters being posted on the forums was put in place because Jeff, the creator of Heromachine, once got into legal trouble because certain companies felt it was too easy to infringe their copyright with Heromachine and tried to sue Jeff and get Heromachine taken down. We take the rule seriously because we don’t want the site to disappear.

Secondly, I do have a job, thank you very much, a very stressful one, and I do this is my free time. So I don’t appreciate people doing things to break rules when stuff is laid out plainly for people to read and isn’t hard to understand.

Thirdly, being Keymaster means I have access to something called the “Ban Hammer”. So if you a) continue to talk in such a tone to anyone in the community, not just myself, and b) breaking the forum rules, you will find it incredibly difficult to create a new thread. Understood.

Thank you and have a nice day.

@DiCicatriz- Cheers, I prefer doing more casual characters anyway. As for Chris, he identifies as male, however he feels more comfortable when presenting himself as a girl. It’s his coping mechanism for all of the stuff that happened to him in the past (bullying, abuse etc.), becoming someone else (not entirely, personality wise, but he’s getting there).

@Lull-Carae & @Trekkie- Cheers guys, glad you like ’em.

A few more pics of Vanessa. In these you can see the butterfly tattoo she has on her left shoulder. Chris has the same tattoo on his left wrist. Both got them when Chris moved in with Vanessa. Chris’ tattoo is mainly to cover up a fairly nasty scar on his wrist from when he self harmed during a time of serious depression. Vanessa decided on the design and got the same tattoo to give the tattoo sentimental value to her brother and remind him that, no matter how bad he is feeling, she’ll always be there for him.

Excellent shading on the basketball and the left boot. Awesome costume as well, really slick and eye catching with some great colour usage.

Dude, you might want to repost the last thing you put up on here. For some reason  the post was glitching the thread into thinking there was a page 56 when there wasn’t meaning that anyone who clicked on you most recent reply on the Art Gallery list was just taken to an empty reply box with no way to navigate to earlier pages on your thread. I’ve removed your last post and that seems to have fixed it and I’m just adding this reply to let you know what happened and to test whether the problem is properly sorted out.

    Cheers

OK, I like the design, but one observation I would make is the “additional elements” seem very thrown together. By additional elements, I mean the costumes stuff that isn’t the spandex part, so the helmet, shoulder pads and robotic arms. The helmet and robotic arms work together, but are coloured differently, meaning the shoulder pads look slightly out of place with them, but they carry over with the spikes elsewhere on the costume (and again, they’re a different colour to the other two). My advise would be, darken the brown on the pads to match the costume and change the gold on the robot arms to match. Match the greys on all three plus the arms spikes (the helmet is a bit off here atm) and maybe add something like a tech insignia or another more techy shoulder pad underneath the current shoulder pads, so as to integrate them with the design a bit more.

Other than that, the pose is great, has a real sense of action which I like. I like the brown, grey and green colour-scheme (which is why I think you should change certain colours on certain items) and the minimal use of the vivid green means it really catches your eye and draws you to those parts. So, overall, great job, just a few tweaks and then it’s perfect.

Oh, just noticed another minor thing to tweak, maybe move the back right arm down a bit or making a tiny bit larger, because the position it is in at the moment means his shoulder isn’t attached to his body in any way.

Welcome to the forums. Unfortunately I’ve had to remove your picture as a number of them contained obviously copyrighted characters. Please make sure you read the forum rules before posting anything else.

Dude, that’s pretty awesome. The crystallisation effect works really well
