Formerly the Super-villain duo Sugar & Spice, Emily Reed and Lucina Stamford were a formidable pairing. Specializing in bank rooberies, Emily (as Sugar) would use her emotion manipulation powers to pacify witnesses whilst Lucina (as Spice) would use her heat creation powers to break into vaults and safe boxes. Through their careers they have had run-ins with numerous heroes, such as The Angels, Outsider Investigations and the Eagle siblings. However, it was after they got in too far over their heads working a job for Overlord that put them directly in conflict with W.I.L.D that forced them to reconsider their actions. Sent to steal from the god-like Rahl during his conflict with A Division, the duo barely escaped with their lives (as was probably the intention of their benefactor) and retired from super-villainy all together, now instead running a restaurant and underground information brokerage service.

Ok, so it’s been a few months since I posted last, but lack of inspiration and Christmas will do that. Anyway, I’ve been going back through my gallery for inspiration and I came across the Guardian from a few years ago (the one with the rainbow effect on the wings and the golden costume) and thought “damn, why didn’t I use that design for the female Golden Guardian redesign I did a few months back?” So I went and mixed the two designs up and, honestly, I prefer it. I’m not going to go back and remake the team picture because I’d have to shade this (which cba atm) and reimport all of the other characters, position them all correctly, re-export it and put the picture back together again because the group shots always end up getting cut off. It’s too much effort and like I said, can’t be assed at the moment. But hopefully I’ll have a few more coming soon.

Yeah, we’ve had enough problems with copyroght in the past without doing this, sorry. Having lightsabers and random star wars-y items (wookie head masks or twi’lek horns) is about as far as we’re prepared to go with that one, because at least then it’s like “those items can be used in loads of different ways”, but having an entire version based on breaking copyright? We don’t really want to risk it. Even doing vaguely star wars themed contests is risky and we don’t want to push the point too much. If you want to create star wars characters, there are items that you can use already in place that should give the desired effect, as I said (just so long as they don’t end up on the forums here, we have the no copyright rule for a reason).

Love the shading and the colour scheme on the Champion of Restoration, it really works well.

You’re off to a very good start.

Don’t worry about being a “noob”, everyone’s got to start somewhere.

Ok, to post an image into a reply you need to have a hyperlink to the image and paste it into the Insert Image box (which is the last button at the top of the reply box, the one that looks like a clip art mountain). To get the hyperlink you either need to have the image hosted on another website or have it already hosted on here as an attachment. Then open the image in a new tab and copy that url.

    Hope that helps.

@Mark Williams- Welcome to the forums. If you could refrain from making different topics for each team you create and just keep everything on this topic that would be much appriciated. Thank you.

The best suggestion really is to scale each item as you go unfortunately. You can change the size of items in groups by using the groups function just above the size, rotation and movement functions, selecting a group and resizing all of the items in that group in one go. Those groups do include an “All Items” group, but group resizing is an unreliable way to do it. If you have any items flipped it can set them back to their standard rotation and if you have any items masked to an item in a different group it can be quite difficult to find them again afterwards. As for All Items group resizing, it’s quite difficult to control the scale when resizing and it does have a tendancy to come undone during export or if you save and come back to it later. So yeah, best suggestion is to just resize as you go.

As it has been brought to my attention that Cliff is unfortunately no longer with us. I felt it was probably appropriate for us to close his topic as we did with Weilyn upon recieving news of her passing.

I’m not sure because I don’t know exactly what you did. The only time I’ve seen a thread disappear completely is when the first post has been deleted. It unteathers the thread and puts it into spam.

@Cille- There you go, I’ve gotten one of the threads back for you. I think it’s the second because it ended up in the spam folder and only has one post in it. Haven’t been able to find the other one, but at least you have a thread to work with.

If 2016 was a difficult year for Pride, then 2017 has been even worse. Last year saw growing pains and in-fighting within the team, but this year has seen external threats that could tear the team apart at the seams. With two of the teams members facing deportation and a national atmosphere that has become increasingly hostile towards the communities that the team respresents, Pride have faced even greater opposition than ever before from the people that they try to protect. Fortunately, the superhero community has thrown their support behind the team, preventing any real political or legal action being taken against the team or their members. Pride has also gained a new member, Chaundrise Young aka. Silver Surge, a politics major and lesbian with the ability to generate and control a grey coloured energy from her hands.

The Knights of Purity are an extremist uber-religious right-wing sect whose aims are to remove anything they veiw as “impure” and create a white ethnostate governed by their ultra-conservative ideals. They are fanatically against immigration from non-Anglo-Saxon or Norse majority countries, interracial marriage, LGBT and Civil rights and anything that could even be construed as socialist. A few years ago the Knights were a small fringe group, but they have grown in size and influence thanks to recent political upheaval and an emboldening of the far-right. They regularly engage in terrorist activities against groups that they feel dilute the purity of the nation (blacks, hispanics, LGBT people, liberals) and often with little fear of reprecussions, thanks to some in power being symmpathetic to their cause. They often clash with superheroes, particularly ones like Team Supreme and King Hawk and Queen Eagle who vehemently oppose the groups beliefs and methods. However, their most enduring foes are a small group of LGBT superheroes based in San Fransisco known as Pride.
