JR19759KeymasterLion
JR19759KeymasterFinal member of Justice Guard and the replacement for Fix after he was kicked out of the group, Amazon.
Profile: Matt Lannock was a scientist working on recreating the Golden Guardian serum for the military alongside his research partner Walt Oliver and his teen age daughter Victoria (Tori). One day there was an accident at the lab and the trio were exposed to an untested version of their experiment. Amazingly it didn’t have any adverse effects on them, instead bestowing them all with super strength. However, as the formula was unfinished, they need to be intravenously pumped with the serum to keep their strength. After an argument with Oliver, Lannock decided to use his serum to fight crime, becoming Goliath Man, and taking on Tori as his sidekick, Goliath Girl. After many years serving as sidekick to her father, Tori decided to step out from his shadow and pursue her own super heroics career as Amazon. Tutored in hand- to hand combat by Golden Guardian, instructed in weapon combat by Eagle, instructed in mechanics by Stinger and supplied with super serum by her father, Amazon is now arguably the greatest all-round fighter in the world. It also helps that she was a child genius, able to help with her fathers scientific experiments by 11 years old.
JR19759KeymasterOk, I’ve decided what to put up as this weeks contest (which I am now running from Monday to Monday, so you still get a week). I was going back through my older stuff and I came across some of my Golden Age designs, so your challenge is to redesign them.
You can do them in a Golden, Silver or Modern Age style, but you must keep the powers and colour schemes the same. I don’t mind how many times you enter or if you do group/action shots, just make them good.
Profiles:
Dr. Dome: A mad scientist who created a disintegrator gun that reduces anything it is aimed at to dust.Miss Liberty: The widow of a soldier killed in Italy during the allied invasion, Elizabeth Walters donned a mystical cape, given to her by a sorcerer, and became Miss Liberty, the high flying beacon of hope for all those women who had lost loved ones during the conflict.
Flying Ace: A former R.A.F fighter pilot who was experimented on by the Nazis following a crash behind enemy lines. When he escaped his captors he discovered that their experiments had made him virtually immortal and super strong.
Gold Cross: An alien being from another dimension, who came through a tear in space and became trapped on our world. He can fly and shoot lasers from his eyes.
The Bolt: After an experimental weapon he was working on was destroyed by enemy spies, with him caught in the blast, U.S Army scientist Matt Majors discovered the explosion had given him the ability to control electricity and fly.
The American: An ex-soldier whose back was injured in World War 1, meaning he could no longer walk. However he took part in an experiment that gave him the use of his legs back, as well as making him super strong and practically invincible.
Aquaran: A half-human, half-merman, raised on the surface. He can breath underwater and, whilst he is in contact with a liquid, he has super strength. He can also control free flowing water (rivers, waves etc).
The Evil Intelligence: After being exposed to the energy from a crashed alien spacecraft, Walter Madison found his mind had mutated, leaving him with superhuman intelligence. However, the mutation had left him without morals, so he decided to put his new found brains to criminal use.
JR19759KeymasterPenultimate member of the Justice Guard, Mr. Mass.
Profile: A scientist studying sub-atomic and nano technology. Injecting himself with experimental nanites, he became able to control his density and size, able to grow to the size and weight of a skyscraper or shrink to the size of an electron.

JR19759KeymasterContinuing with the Justice Guard redesigns, here’s Blackstar
Profile: A mutate born with the ability to control heat. He can store heat energy in his body, releasing it when he wants. He can also convert heat into kinetic energy inside his body, giving him the ability to fly and sprint at supersonic speeds for a short time. He was chased out of his home town after he accidentally exploded after a bullying incident during his teens, killing the three bullies.
JR19759KeymasterThanks man.
JR19759KeymasterNice, I like it, especially the long gloves and boots.
JR19759KeymasterAnd again, this time Star-Girl
As a teenager, Lucy Falkner came into contact with a fragment of a recently crash meteorite, contaminated with an experimental extraterrestrial serum, which gave her super powers. When her father, a struggling publicist and PR man, learnt of this he decided to make his daughter an international superstar by making her a superhero. After a public fight with Amun-Ra in Times Square, he called a press conference to announce Super-Star to the world. Super-Star would soon become a hire hero, with her father taking a large percentage of the commission and becoming very rich in the process. With her father now controlling every aspect of her life, including who she was friends with and what she ate, Lucy began to dream of a life without her father. She would later find a legal way out of her fathers control with the aid of Gold Hawk’s civilian I.D, corporate lawyer Lance Walker, and she joined Walker in The Watchman’s Justice Guard team as Star-Girl.
Her powers include the ability to control cosmic energy, projecting it in blasts or manipulating it to give her super-strength or the ability to fly.
JR19759KeymasterAfter redesigning Gold Hawk and Queen Eagle, I thought I might as well do the rest of the Justice Guard (with the exception of Dynamo, as I’m quite happy with the version I entered into the speedster contest and you can see that a few pages back on this thread). Anyway, we start of with The Watchman
Profile: A former night-watchman at a shipping yard, Carl Barratt came across an old lantern washed up on one of the slipways. Little did he know that this lantern was a mystical construct, and when he touched it, he was transformed into The Watchman, the heroic avatar of justice and light. The Lantern allows Carl to control the visible spectrum of light and gives him the power to teleport through rays of light.
JR19759KeymasterOne problem I’ve got is that I can’t decide what two to put up to be redesigned. If you want you can go to my deviantart page and have a nose around, see what ones you think I should put up for redesigning, then post your suggestions on here.

Of course I’m not expecting any replies here, but I’m going have this like a contest, I’ll chosen my favourite suggestions on Thursday for next weeks contest.
