    Head of the Mason Corporation (one of the world’s largest banking, investment and insurance conglomerates), Charles Mason is a mathematical genius and a billionaire. His exceptional mathematical skills and calculated risks saw him make his fortune on the stock market before buying out a number of companies himself and taking them public, further increasing his fortune. Like many on Wall Street, he is fairly withdrawn from the public eye, which is useful as he also hides a dark secret. Mason is the chairman of Criminal Enterprises, a criminal organisation run like a business. The premise is simple, the board (made up of some of the foremost criminal masterminds in the country) contract out work to lower order criminals, who recieve upgraded equipment and tech, as well as a “wage” in exchange for CE taking a cut of any jobs. Criminal Enterprises also makes money through playing the stock market, influencing stock prices illegally, through sabotage, murder and other nefarious means.

    Before the time of the Galactic Republic, interplanetary wars between rival species was common-place. Competition for resource rich planets in an age of expanding galactic empires meant that many lost their lives in battles on and above alien planets. The Galactic Republic was set up as an answer to the increasing severity of these conflicts, as a mediating force whose job it was to settle any disputes that may otherwise lead to conflict. However, a recent trade dispute between two long time rival empires flared up great tensions that even the Republic Council could not reconcile, leading to the two quarrelling races to withdraw from the Republic, an unprecedented event. These two species, the Rkuten of Makatra and the Costrilians of Costrila (represented here by their two military leaders, General Lott of the Rkuten and Ped Luc of the Costrilians), have since shattered their peace treaty, bringing interstellar war to the Republic for the first time since its foundation. Waging war against each other and the Republican Army, the rush for resources has begun once again in earnest. And one small planet in the southern spiral arm of the galaxy has drawn much attention from all sides, not least because it is said that not only is the Svetalen criminal Omnion hiding there, but also the remenants of the cosmic elder The Other lay there, both of which could prove a huge boon to which ever side can acquire them.

    Thadeus Hatchett has not had the easiest life. Losing his legs to meningitus as a baby and being diagnosed with terminal cancer in his twenties, he took a gun to his own head before his thirtieth birthday. However, even that could not save him. He was resurrected by the cosmic being known as The Other, to host one of its Coredeorum. And even then, life didn’t get any better for Thadeus. The Other hadn’t cured his cancer, he was still without his legs and he failed to unit all five Coredeorum, being brutally murdered by Victor Daniels (who would later become the supervillain Overlord) in the process. But even then the sweet relief of death was only a temporary respite, as Thadeus was resurrected once again by Overlord, to serve as a living terminal for his data center, to basically act as the interface on Overlord’s computer. Forcably kept alive by the machinery he is now trapped inside, Thadeus dispises his existance even more than ever, but is unable to end it. He is also unable to take revenge on his master, despite his best efforts, and Overlord obviously takes a sadistic pleasure in his forced subserviance.

    Ionic Man: A brilliant physicist, Marcus Hawkins was employed on a top secret project creating a new kind of radiation weapon. When an industrial spy sabotaged the weapon, Hawkins was trapped in the laboratory alone, locked in by the security system. When the radiation flooded the room, his body was mutated, allowing him to channel any kind of radiation through his body and see in inferred and with x-ray vision. However, the radiation also affected his mind, driving him insane.

    Ultraman: With the unique power to grow stronger, faster and more powerful the longer he is fighting, Wayne Wight should have been the ultimate superhero, and that is exactly how Martin Falkner saw him. Looking to gain revenge on his daughter Lucy (aka. Superstar) for abandoning her life as his gravy train, Falkner took on Wight as his client, publicising him as “The New Greatest Superhero”- Ultraman. However, Wight was shown up by A Division when he tried to take on Overlord on his own and had to be bailed out. Furious, he challenged any member of the team to a one on one fight and was handily defeated by Superstar, who simply overpowered him as quickly as possible to prevent his powers from kicking in. Bitter and resentful of this humiliation, Wight has made it his lifes work to destroy Superstar, and A Division by association, even going so far as to kill Martin Falkner out of pure spite.

    Coldheart: Once upon a time, Thomas Nyman was a businessman and multi-millionaire, who made his money in medical research. However, it was discovered that he had an incurable terminal disease. After pouring funds and as much time as he had into research to try and save his own life, Nyman eventually organised to be cryogenically frozen, until a cure was found. However, something went wrong with the process, Nyman remained conscious and mobile whilst frozen, his body in a permenant state of deep freeze, unable to be thawed. With his body now too cold for the viral strains to survive, he would be able to live a normal life, if it weren’t for the fact that he now freezes everything he touches, including his wife and children. With investors pulling out and his company now bankrupt, Nyman was left with nothing. Acquiring a custom made insulation suit from criminal arms dealer, the Inventor, Nyman uses the same ruthless instinct that made him such a successful businessman, turning instead to crime in order to fund research into a way to return him to normal.

    @Lady Amaranth- Thanks

    Anyway, next up are two villains, because I don’t have too many looking at it.

    Overlord

    Once a spoilt rich kid by the name of Victor Daniels, the path to becoming the ruthless super-villain, Overlord, was not a simple one. A bully and a cheat, Daniels found himself force to fend for himself when his parents cut him off. This eventually led to him being killed in a drunken bar fight on his 25th birthday, after which he was resurrected by a fragment of the dying cosmic entity The Other, called the Coredeorum. Forced to compete against 4 other chosen to unity all 5 pieces of the Coredeorum, Daniels ruthlessly killed the rest of the chosen and took the power of The Other for his own, and used this almost unlimited power to punish the world for what he saw as its unfair treatment of him. However, the power of a cosmic entity porved too much for a human body, and Daniels found himself slowly dying, his body disintergrating, leaving only his willpower keeping himself alive. He kidnapped Gideon Mantel of A Division and forced him to create a new cybernetic body that could contain and control the power of The Other, which Daniels then inhabited, leaving his body to die. At that point, Overlord was born. Though he is the most powerful villain on Earth, Overlord can still only use a fraction of his potential power at any given time. Should he try to unleash his full power, it is likely he could rip apart the universe.

    Reuben Balfour

    A powerful espur with mind controlling abilities, Reuben Balfour is unfortunately also a sadist with misogynistic tendancies. He uses his powers to control women and degrade them in various (often disturbing) ways, as well as facilitating numerous bloody murders using unwilling puppets to avoid implication. He tends to opperate alone, but it is not unheard of for him to take on comissioned work from other like-minded customers.

    Hi Daisy, welcome to the forums.

    To get an image into the reply box all you need to do is open the image you upload in a new tab, copy that url and then edit your reply. When you are editing your reply, click on the last button on the tool bar on the top of the reply box (it looks like a clip art of the sun and some mountains), then paste the url into the box that comes up. Hope this helps.

    With W.I.L.D being a global organisation, operating with singlular teams covering the entire world was not feasible. Therefore bases where established in major cities in each continent and operatives where recruited to serve in their regional variant of either A Division or Strike Force. The only countries that did not opt-in to this plan where Russia and China, who sought to control their own superhuman response operations. The first of these bases was set up in Brussels, Belgium, and became the centre of operations for the European versions of W.I.L.D’s primary response teams.
