    Name: Maria Langley
    Codename: Andromeda
    Powers: Flight, Cosmic Energy Projection
Bio: One of two superhuman daughters born to a small town store owner, Maria was always very down to Earth and kind, a trait which carried on through to her days as a superhero. An original member of The Protectors, she was a beloved member of the superhero community and one of the most popular members of the team with the public, something which confused Maria and left her somewhat intimidated, not being used to so much attention. However, she went missing after The Protectors last mission. Presuming Maria to be dead, the team split up in the aftermath. However, Maria wasn’t dead, she had somehow been transorted across space. Gaining a new perspective on life after her travels in space, as well as a buff to her existing powers, Maria returned to Earth and helped form a new iteration of The Protectors.
    Random Extra Facts:
    – Maria’s younger sister Casey went on to become the hero Impact under the tutelage of Maria’s former Protectors team-mate Paragon. Casey would eventually inherit Paragon’s powers and name on her mentors death at the hands of the galactic tyrant Omnion.
    – During her time in the original incarnation of The Protectors, Maria started dating her team-mate The Titan, James Rush. Their relationship came to an unofficial end when Maria went missing, though since her return they have tried to rekindle that spark that they had originally.
    – Maria can play the piano. She took classes as a child, but never really viewed it as much more than a hobby. She still likes to play, but gets embarrassed when playing in front of other people. According to The Titan, she also has a lovely singing voice as well, but she is even more reluctant to show that off than she is her piano playing.
    – She loves dogs. Her family had two labradors when she was a child, named Buddy and Rolo.

    – She keeps a small chunk of moon rock with her at all times as a good luck charm. On her way home from space she stopped off on the moon to look at the Earth and decided to take a little bit of outer-space home with her, to remind her of how small yet beautiful our planet is and how it felt viewing it from space.

    Name: Victoria “Tori” Lannock
    Codename: Amazon
Powers: Superhuman Strength (100x normal human limit), enhanced healing capabilities
Bio: Tori Lannock has heroics in her blood. Her father, Matt Lannock, was an original member of The Protectors as the hero Goliath Man, using a strength enhancing serum of his own creation. After The Protectors originally disbanded, Tori joined her father as his side-kick, taking on the name Goliath Girl. However, being a superhero can’t last forever and fortunately Matt Lannock did get to hang up his costume and retire, unlike many of his contemporaries. This hiatus from heroics also meant Tori had to give up her crimefighting, but she took it as an opportunity. She went to university and got herself a masters degree in bio-chemistry and was later able to recreate and refine her fathers formula. She returned to heroics under the new name Amazon and became one of the most well recognised heroes on the scene. Eventually she was asked to join a new iteration of The Protectors and jumped at the chance.
    Random Extra Facts:
    – Tori is somewhat clumsy and often underestimates her own strength in everyday situations, whether it be accidentally ripping doors off hinges when trying to open them or a playful pat on the back sending someone flying through a wall.
    – One might expect Tori to be a purely brute strength fighter considering how strong she is, but she has a black belt in judo to back up her power.
    – Tori really loves romantic movies, especially rom-coms. Her favourites are the Bridget Jones series, Love Actually and When Harry Met Sally.
    – Her other big love is sports. When she was a kid, she’d always watch whatever sport was on with her Dad. At a young age she wanted to be a soccer star when she grew up, but she didn’t have the aptitude for it.
    – Despite not needing to (due to the serum that gave her super-human strength never wearing off), Tori still works out. Even the gym at The Protectors HQ had to be re-fitted to accomidate this. Tori has secretly admitted in private that she only does it to show off, she was a pretty scrawny kid before becoming a superhero and she just kinda likes the attention her strength brings her, even if she has had to put a few people in their place for being rather rude about her size and appearance.

The Great Old Ones are beings of great power, such power that their actions and motives are often inconcievable to the mere mortals that they effect. Descendants of The Outer Gods, they once presided over the world of mortals. No-ne knows what caused them to give up their control, whether they did so willingly or where forced (and, if that is the case, what could force them to do so), but many now sleep either within the earth, make their homes in the deepest reaches of the galaxy or, more terrifyingly, make thier homes within the minds of man.
Nug & Yeb: The siblings, born of Shub-Niggurath, they in turn bore many of the other Great Old Ones and are amongst the most worshiped of all of the eldritch. It is said that they will clear the Earth for the return of their kin using “The Furnace of Yeb” and “The Torch Of Nug”, though these items are shrowded in mystery.
Cthulhu: The spawn of Nug, Cthulhu is a terrible creature of the nightmares of man. It is said that he knows all that was occuring in the universe and moulded the dreams of the earliest humans. His cult was the most powerful in the ancient world and at its peak, they ruled over the island city of R’lyeh, before it was sunk beneath the waves. It is believed that Cthulhu was trapped as his city sank and that he is still there, imprisoned in a deep tomb along with the people he ruled. Others say he escaped, no-one knows for sure. But what we do know is that the cult of Cthulhu did not die with R’lyeh, it lives on, awaiting the return of their master.
Tsathoggua: The spawn of Yeb, Tsathoggua takes the form of a monsterous fur-covered black toad. A deity of sloth and gluttony, Tsathoggua would not move from the spot he resides unless mortally threatened, not even to satiate his ravenous hunger. Instead he waits, in a state of torpor and eats any who come close, before returning to his slumber. He is attended by a race known as the Formless Spawn, a gestalt of black slime that is surprisingly resiliant and resourceful, a fittingly squalid servant for a being such as Tsathoggua.

Dagon: Though Dagon is considered a Great Old One, his origins are not of the Outer Gods, at least not directly. Once one of The Deep Ones, a race of aquatic humanoids possibly created by the Outer Gods, he discovered a child of Cthulhu and gained great power from it (although the specifics are unknown). He grew large, even for a Deep One who grow massive as they age, and his power grew too. He became a figure of worship amongst other Deep Ones and even humans (he is mentioned as a fishing god in Mesopotamian scripts, he is noted as being worshipped by the Phillistines and, like Cthulhu, his cult still goes strong today). Most Deep Ones of today are descended from Dagon and he remains one of the few active Great Old Ones.

    Thanks guys.

Anyway switching back to SRC themed stuff for a moment and things are about to get eldritch.

There are some creatures, known only to man as The Great Old Ones, that are so incomprehensable in their power and being that they inspire madness in all that gaze upon them. But as powerful as these Great Old Ones are, The Outer Gods are to them as they are to us, creatures of such cosmic magnitude and eldritch power that all they are seems as chaos.
    From Left to Right:
Azathoth: The “Blind Idiot God”. Though he has eyes and they are always open, he cannot see, not with his external eyes anyway. He lives beyond time and space and sight and sound, kept asleep by the pipes and drums of many servitors. All of reality is Azathoths dream and nobody knows what would happen should he ever wake, or if he is in control of the dream in the first place, one presumes not. He is the most powerful of the many Outer Gods and sire to most.
Nyarlathotep: Known by many names, as befits one called “the God Of A Thousand Forms”, he is also heralded as “the Crawling Chaos”, “the Black Pharaoh”, “Stalker Among The Stars” and “the Messenger Of The Outer Gods”.  Nyarlathotep is one of the few Outer Gods to interact with the lower beings, whether he is the only one who chooses to or the only one able to is not known. Son (for all familial phrases mean to gods such as these) of Azathoth, he is a cruel god, mocking and delighting in the madness of mortals and immortals alike. He revels in displaying his proficiency in horror, going to great lengths to make his acts comprehensible to lower beings before escalation to higher and higher plains of reality as if he were a surgeon striping away layers of sanity as one would remove the wrapping from a wound. Still, he seems to play a much greater role than just his own pleasure, serving as an attendant to the cults of his fellows and ensuring their will, as it is for such beings, is adheared to.

Shub-Niggurath: The “Mother of A Thousand Young” and daughter of Azathoth, Shub-Niggurath also takes many forms, though unlike her brother she rarely takes form to commune with lesser beings. She spawned many of The Great Old Ones and is in an almost constant state of what can best be described as pregnacy (again, for what such words can be attributed to such beings as they do not reproduce in a way that could be conceivable to our minds).

Nobody is really sure why Melisa Meier quit Strike Force, whether or not she had grown tired of heroics or if it was some other reason more connected to the team. What we do know is that she kept her Valkyrie armor and never stopped tinkering with it and modifying it, until it couldn’t even be decribed as the same armor anymore. She has since returned to heroics, under the name Paladin, battling and defeating Man Mountain (a notoriously fearsome foe) single-handedly. Though Strike Force reached out to her with an offer to rejoin the team, they were rebuked and Meier continues as a solo hero.

A team of LGBTQ+ vigilantes, The AnarQueers are made up of Ironside (a nonbinary former army sniper with metallic skin), Queer Guy (a provcative gay martial arts expert) and Butch (a super-strong lesbian). Due to their open LGBT stylings and their line of work, they have often been compared to PRIDE, however, the AnarQueers are far more anti-authority and revolutionary than their counterparts and stray more from what would conventionally be perceived as heroics.

    Professor Richard Mays

    Sam Matthews

So, these are the last two characters from the SRC redesigns. Originally I was going to have them individually in reference sheet shots like the other 5, but as time passed I was struggling for things to put into the reference sheets. The only new things are Richard Mays having a false leg after his possessed daughter kinda… tore off his leg, and having an explaination for the markings on Sam’s chest and arms being from when she was used as a sacrifice to bring a demon into this world. But all the rest of the information (certainly for Richard Mays) is laid out in other reference sheets, plus with them not being active members of the team, there’s not much in the way of powers to show off or alternate forms to make the reference sheets interesting, so I thought I’d just put them together, post them and get them out of the way, because I’ve done some other stuff since this and want to put that up but also didn’t want to post anything new before finishing this series so there we go.

So, last main team member, but not the last of the profiles, there’s more of those to come.

Oh and because I rather stupidly forgot to mention this in the profile, the Nightwatch outfit is to keep as much sunlight off of her as possible. Oh and she still has a violent allergic reaction to garlic and simular vegtables/ plants (because, you know, vampire)

    And the new one….

So, you know how you sometimes are doing this stupidly extra thing and it just proves to be too much so you cut your losses and quit but then you decide that what you actually want to do is go and be really extra on something you’ve already done… well, I hope somebody knows and it isn’t just me. Yup, the SRC is getting a do over (and when I say a do over, I mean all from scratch, usually I have templates for all my characters (I mean, how else do you think I could keep doing pictures of Lili without going insane from that sleeve) but I’m not doing that this time because… well, being extra) because, a) it’s been almost 3 years since I did that first SRC picture, b) I don’t like how I did the original team anymore (both of the male main characters are assholes for no real reason and the team makeup could do with a bit of a shake up anyway) and c) I just wanted to do another redesign of Demon Girl, she’s one of my favourites out of all of the characters I’ve made (like probably 3rd behind Lili/ Danni and Sempi, yeah I know that’s 3 characters there, but Lili and Danni can’t and shouldn’t be seperated) so yeah, I might have gone off on a tangent somewhere.
