Herr DParticipant*@Trekkie: Nice. Thanx. Jane like too.
@Cant: Glad you like! No hurry on return–I can post my #1 very quickly.
@JR: You mentioned wanting something to color. I thought I’d offer you something to take your time with. I put a couple of transparent layers over the words, so it might be easier to get to some of the nearby stuff. I also doubled most of the items so that you would have the option of translucency without interference. I am curious to see what you can do with this. One of the earliest superheroes mentioned in any form has, for me, one of the most suggestive lines in it. The hint that maybe, if he’d lived long enough, that his power would have come back. In honor of that speculative verse, I masked some stubble in. Naturally the ideal goal is to make it look like stained glass . . .
To that end, I’m just as interested in having you improve it in any other way you feel necessary.

Herr DParticipantHey! I thought I’d make a snow globe . . .
http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u438/jamais5/2013hm/HerrD-SnowGlobe_zps709b0304.png
I guess it turned out okay.

Herr DParticipantIt’s always more interesting to me when a group runs out of their original purpose than when a group needlessly tussles over the beginning.
madjack said: Hmm, I might pick up the underlying idea of that. I could make them a group of former peacekeepers living on the outskirts of society and working as bounty hunters and soldiers of fortune, while on the run from the authorities after being branded as criminals for a “crime they didn’t commit”. Basically, a kind of “A-Team” meets “Firefly” and more dirty version of “Star Trek”.
That DOES sound like a winning combo.
Herr DParticipantawh, thanx! Yeah, the Crane Dance from the Industrial Ballet (still looking for investors) as danced by Loeada Pose.
Here’s one more attuned to the season:
Holidays bring special family times, special events, special . . .

Herr DParticipantI can’t tell you whether I just find the brown one more interesting, or whether the inevitable dialogue tickles me more.
“I’m Redback!”
[first gangster turns slightly] “Benny? Go over ‘dere. It’s easier to shoot red in the dark.”
[Benny starts moving]
“NO, you IDIOTS! There’s no red on my back!”
“Den wot for you called Redback?”
[Shink!] “You must be new to Australia.”
“He’s got spikes, boss!”
“Shoot him”
[he dodges up the wall, then down onto Benny]
“arrrgk”
“You Aussie weirdo!” [Blammblammblamm–shink swish]
“My arm!”
[Redback removes gun from twitching hand, tosses arm to boss] “They have a great hospital right next to the airport. Maybe they’ll sew it back on before you fly home. Better hurry–you have venom in your system, and this gun is about to kill several local criminals.” [leaves straight up wall]*It’s definitely both together . . .
Herr DParticipantNice group. Is their purpose Peacekeeping? Peace Squad #6 is a good name if you include that the first five didn’t survive and their numbers were retired out of respect for their service. If they aren’t part of an organization, you might call them Bonders, saying that they formed the group by taking a vow to yada yada ya and blah blah bleep. It’s always more interesting to me when a group runs out of their original purpose than when a group needlessly tussles over the beginning.
Herr DParticipantThat new store opened at the mall? Blundered around first. They sold these little tack hammers labeled “slipper breakers” and old style poison rings and wrought iron cauldrons, can you imagine? Then the owner got rid of all that junk, put what looks like maybe a wireless flat-screen t.v. on display and started selling the weirdest clothes you’ve ever seen, pretending he was stuck inside a mirror the whole time. Stupid, right?
Wrong. Every morning as they open he has this runway show where these beautiful models no one recognizes parade around his store wearing his most bizarre stuff. Guys come to look and women actually buy some of it.
http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u438/jamais5/2013hm/MirrorInc_zps894b2649.png
Yeah, it’s a racket. I’ve been trying to meet him, but the owner of Mirror Inc. apparently never visits the store–he must have that custom oval flatscreen teched up to go real-time and transmits from somewhere else? No one’s ever met him–of course, we can’t seem to find records of him or any of his models, either . . .

Bob walked into the house. “Frieda!”
“Yes?”
“That cat that moved into the garage is one of those escaped genetic experiments on the news.”
“How do you know?”

“–I’ll get back to that. The news says we can’t kill it. The corporation that made it is bankrupted–they can’t pay us for it or any damages. I just don’t know what to do!”
“Craig’s List.”
“What?”
“Sell it on Craig’s List.”
“No one would buy–“
“Don’t be a pessimist, Bob. Just describe how it’s unusual so whoever won’t try to return it.”

Herr DParticipantWell, for realism, the clawed ones look more like an underground species. Claws are always better for digging, and the shape looks like the skeletal structure can take the underground temps better. Do the Pazurians live like bats? They look like they could.
Herr DParticipantSomewhat. DiCicatriz has a few things like that and he or JR made a tutorial of it, I think. Somewhere in Background/ Shapes are some gradient rectangles. Mask a few of those to multiple transparent copies of the same wings. You might lay out the rectangles and color them before you start masking and re-layering.
