Herr DParticipantLooks nice–That one tree near the foreground might be darker to go with the sunset in the background. You should post that one in Custom Backgrounds. It’s that good.
Herr DParticipantIt looks like you’ve done well here for a start. If you make each crowd companion a different 3-color uniform gray, shrink the x more than the y, add depth to the heads (same color insignia and some hair?) — then all you need are seats between them. Shields?
AFTER that I can be of more help. If you post your text in your thread and PM me when you’re done, I’ll add some translucent layers between foreground and background and see if I can manage a spotlight for you. I’m good at translucent separation, and it’s one of the few things I do that I couldn’t possibly explain.
Herr DParticipantAs a supplement to this very good tutorial, I should first point out that this is the same principle to be used in modifying Companions and, in theory, any other item that is ‘close enough’ to what you want instead of building it new.
Second, I should probably add the generic art advice of facial ratios: eyes center about halfway down the skull, nose about halfway from eyes to chin, and mouth halfway from nose to chin. Roughly 7-8 heads to the height of an adult, usually the forehead and cheekbones are about 8 knuckles wide if it’s in the same plane.
Herr DParticipantThere are lots of options here. After you add ears and eyebrows and break up the symmetry a bit, decide what you want from him.
does he transform to this? Shred some fabric at his feet from Tops/Zombies. Is he always like this? Put some stains on his clothes, give him a club or something. What made him this way? Put a hint of it in the background if you can.

At the third annual Bumble Beach Sand Sculpture Finals, one of the champs paused before finishing her “Sandhenge” during her last trip for a pail of water. Her swimsuit is the Sargasso Special, and the matching barefoot lobster sandals were custom-made by a businesswoman who disappeared recently in Hawaii. The hand trowel and pail she found herself at local stores and painted to match.

I think she did well.
Herr DParticipant–ok. I went to give up on this and out it came. The way to make a dress that looks too much like a net look okay is to make it into a bathing suit or lingerie, so–

Herr DParticipantWow. I may not be qualified for this. I don’t find the dress ugly–?
Herr DParticipantnnnnn-yes. Agreed. Slosh some wine out of the chalice, too, man.
Herr DParticipant[four out of five pupils dilate in surprise] Well, thank you! Blending in with the Men in Black is an old trick of mine. This IS my favorite deck of MiB cards. The blue eyes, the charcoal suit, etc.
Herr DParticipant[Herr D puts up curtain to obscure Sunni D’s happy dance] That would be a tougher face anyway. Maybe the eyes need to be bigger? The hair and facial shape looks right. –As interesting as that side shade looks, I imagine that’s the hardest thing to get right. Somehow his forehead and cheek shape don’t really come out for me. Pretty good anyway. It is interesting to note that most optical illusions can have their workings linked to how the human eye sees faces.
Herr DParticipant. . . yeah, I’m not getting anything. Okay, here’s the three I’ll pick.
Come everybody, let’s do the twists!
Herr DParticipant@Thank you mattisagamer. I picked Matt as a common name, rather than ‘aiming’ it–wait–MY MATT LOOKS LIKE YOU?
Yikes. If I’ve gone psychic, I’m gonna have to book a flight to Atlantic City! I need to test that . . .. . . What are the three items you wanted me to pick? [closes all five eyes really hard]
Herr DParticipantOn your next way through, a ‘t’-pipe fitting can be made simply by laying one curve flipped right on the other unflipped and then laying a same-color oval Insignia Tech on the outline overlap. You might also try making a ladder double as your angle brace from front to back of scaffold. The welder’s pose you could almost leave alone. I’d add smoke?
Herr DParticipantSunni D said, “No way–Misha Collins?!”
Herr DParticipantI heard a buddy of mine say he was going to create a NEW piece. An eye that would instantly evoke fear in any it looked at. I warned him that perfecting art could destroy his life. He laughed.

He’s in the cardiac wing of the local hospital. I gotta go check on visiting hours . . .
