Herr DParticipant[WAHNKWAHNKWAHNK] “Captain?! We’re detecting traces of hyper-realism!”
“Here in heromachinespace? Are you sure, Ensign?”
“Yessir.”
“–Brace for impact!”
Herr DParticipantWow. Good enough looking picture that I almost didn’t notice the bow was misshapen. It’s not bent enough and the string is a bit too long for the bow’s height anyway. Where’s it from?
Herr DParticipantRecently an inventor managed to create a low-power laser version of an industrial ‘cutter.’ With accuracy programmable to molecule widths, he realized his production capital problem was over. He started an art studio and was glad when a celebrity sculptor showed an interest. A custom-fitted kevlar suit, a welding helmet, and a prototype called a ‘repulsor,’ named for it’s ability to reverse the electron-shell attraction, were all that was necessary to open a public art studio and begin teaching a class in ‘Custom Repulsor Carving.’
The beautiful Riala made some amazing carvings, but one result was, well, repulsive.

–Hopefully that little problem will get worked out soon.

Herr DParticipantKeric, you win, man. I like this one out of proportion to how simple it looks. It’s a shame someone didn’t lose against it. Pick your three.

I honestly didn’t notice that hole. Sorry, I get kinda dumb after work.
Honeycoal works very well, I’ve found. Maybe 200 mg of uranium on Sundays as well. Just as a treat, you know?
Work makes everyone dumb. Uranium, eh? That’s probably why you see more fire-fae and I mostly just see fireflies. They’re mutations! Who knew?

Why, you might ask, was everyone fine with Alien One, that upper-stratopheric hydrogen-extracting alien superhero, rescuing the FREIGHT train instead of the passenger train with 70 passengers when both trestles collapsed?http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u438/jamais5/2014hm/AlienOneWithTwoOClockTrain_zpsa9908982.png
Why, indeed! The three remaining boxcars rolled to ELEVEN FEET from smashing into the three-hundred-room hotel. The hotel was only about half full, but still–the insurance people say twice as many people were saved by the motel not being knocked down the mountain.
Herr DParticipantGlow-in-dark tats on a Yakuza. Because you’ll STILL not see him coming in time to do anything about it–Now THAT sounds intimidating! Good work.
Herr DParticipantOnly nine more hours till close with only one entry, folks.

You should really punch some holes in the lid or that thing will die in, like, a second.
Seriously though, you’ve got an amazing gallery
Thank you, Stulte. –That one hole isn’t enough? I can’t say as I know the nutritional requirements–maybe I should’ve added a lump of honey-covered coal, anyway, right?
Herr DParticipantIt always struck me that fire-fae would be more fun in a jar than fireflies.

Of course, they’re bound to be more dangerous . . .

Herr DParticipantOf all the things I miss about working, I miss most seeing those reasons to smile that far too many people ignore.

Food services is one of the careers I’ve heard the most complaints about, but seeing people enthusiastic to get food makes me think it must be worth it some of the time.
Herr DParticipantYou just take all the time you need! We’ll enjoy. I can’t recall anyone shining every link on chains before.
Herr DParticipantEver been late for the party of the year? You don’t get in the way of a pizza being delivered, a horse headed for his barn, a levee overflowing, or Kate late for Mardi Gras.

Herr DParticipantThis is a redesign of a pic in post #4. “Out of her way, she’s late for Mardi Gras.”

Herr DParticipantOops. I entered the contest before this one. And I’m outta time for the night . . . sorry, man.
