Herr DParticipantI titled this one “OFF the SHELF.” [cue stereo and pantless Tom]
http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u438/jamais5/HerrD-OFFtheSHELF_zps7761301b.png
Hey, man, it’s Friday.
*Face
Herr DParticipantHe better do handstands to get in the longboats or lifeboats.
Herr DParticipantA lot better than I would’ve guessed at first. Btw, that’s a nice apartment. It looks nice enough that I can tell I can’t afford it.

you have a very unique gallery! keep up the good work
Thank you. I’ve peeked at yours too–you and Delirious Al concoct most of my favorite combos.
Meta-notes: When I add *xx at the beginning or end of an entry, xx is an abbreviation for which contest it’s entered in. If there is no abbreviation, then it’s on MY blog. At some point several of my links may go down one at a time, as I am rearranging my Photobucket account. I plan on eventually adding more Blue Moan episodes to the same post entry the first two are in, and I am separately working on coming posts for a pictorial representation of a piece that started life as a Poetry Slam entry and more pics for Zephyr before I get back to finish writing it. These things, as well as being Mr. Mom and unemployed and trying to GET employed are taking me away from doing as much here as I’d like. I hope to be employed in time to properly celebrate my 2000th thread view. Here’s hopin’!

The other day, I came to the horrible realization that I’ve got at least a couple more months of this wintery ****. I mean really, I’ve walked to class through too many of these sub-freezing days with no foreseeable end. I can’t take it anymore.
So, I guess this is just me channeling my inner wish for t-shirt weather.

Channel away! I don’t think I’ve been much over 250 layers myself–do you know how many layers down the runtime speed stops diminishing?
Herr DParticipantA recombinant mutant cyborg harpy. Pretty good combo.

(Kimono-pieces-misused contest.)

Explanations.
The chair cushion embroidered with the dragon is the lower skirt part. The tangled tie is the bansai tree with some Energy leaves added. The pot is the ‘tunic front’ of the kimono with stripes masked on (flag insignia.) The hairpiece and styrofoam stand are all of a piece. They are the fuzzy-looking belt-topped piece slimmed a bit. The flowy tanglable-looking sleeve became the head of a dragon. This particular dragon is impersonating a wall sculpture owned by a friend of mine approximately to scale. As a side note, the desk has an additional back leg I think makes it look more correct. The extra leg is made of an alien head.
Herr DParticipantMisuses! Hi–wait. That isn’t my name. Oh, well.
Kimono misused.

She looks a little like a greenhorn for a cowgirl, but very nice. Well done!
Nice indeed. –by human standards, a princess should usually be a greenhorn cowgirl. Are you blinging her hat and vest or declaring that her orc side favors the royalty be more leathery and less blingy?
Herr DParticipant@Mad Jack said:
Yeah – those kitschy figures of animals really are repulsive! … *wait* … Wasn’t that what you meant? Oo
Not quite–on a related note, unclassified radiation CAN have unpredictable results on human skin.

“Georgia Miller?”
“Yes?”
“Your Art Final is about to begin.”
“Yes, I know that. What I don’t know is where it’s being held. Could you–?”
“Your exam will be here with me. Your professor was in a traffic accident this morning, and I’ve been put in charge of it.”
“Oh. Is he all right?”
“I haven’t been told. But the office will know by 2:00 this afternoon if you check in. Now. I have procured a different room for each student to take their exam and locked them in to make sure there is no cheating. There will be paper and a flashlight on your desk to signal me in the hallway if you finish early. You will have two hours to recreate as much of the Mona Lisa as you can. Here are your art supplies–“
“Uhhhh-hhhhh–” [thud]
http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u438/jamais5/2014hm/ProblemWithTheArtFinal_zps4f00bfe3.png
Herr DParticipantYeah–you know you may find it easier next time to layer insignia on furniture to get a perspective look. The only way I’ve been able to get a desk top looking right dead on is to put the trapezoid belt buckle upside down on top of a rectangle and screen the ends with ‘other scenery.’ Perspective and foreshortening are always tough in 2d anyway. See ya ’round.
Herr DParticipantAs a completely logistical question, doesn’t it make more sense to put climbing spikes in the forearm and winch-spools in the upper chest? Everything else looks right to me. I’ve also been interested in the problem Batman would have, spooling from his utility belt (pulled lumbar muscles.) Spiderman had his body madeover, so no biggie, but for regular human bodies–?
Herr DParticipant!@#$%^& She’ll probably publish before I do, TOO! Ah, well, is she friendly? She looks nice . . .
Herr DParticipantThe shape’s right, but it’s not wrinkly or scraggly enough to be Smeagle. That image is of a Gollum who had a fitness club and stylist as his “Precious-es.”
Herr DParticipantErrrrr. I can see why a front view is tough to get right. Here’s a rough draft for you in case I got further because of my tendency to ‘misuse’ items. It’s at double-scale so you can correct it easier. The eyes in particular are probably the least correct. PM me if you can’t get it from this text–I’m not on enough to browse as much as I’d like these days.
My likely Aekli!
