Herr DParticipantWere you thinking Rutger Hauer? Of your ‘reglar peeps,’ your vbss guy is better. I think it’s the sunglasses. You should have him go to ‘professionally visit’ your sharkman, not knowing, have his sunglasses bitten off and need to defend himself or be rescued in the next frame by the vbss guy. Definitely needs action. The same problem is had by actors playing roles with sunglasses. They always come off as too mechanical or angst-ridden. –Of course, that did help Arnie’s performance in T1 . . .
ooh. Are you planning a sing-off ending in a real fight between your humanoid creatures? Mr. Shark could cover something by Great White, shown up by Wally with “All The Girls I’ve Loved Before,” etc? Kara-okey-DOKEY!
Herr DParticipantYah. Much better. Inside out is generally more monstrous. You might also try the second one’s colors plus olive drabs on the first one and follow AP’s advice abt covering the fasteners. Why not have a backup monster?
Herr DParticipantBalance. That can be difficult. This one just happens to be an example of the only easy way to handle it. In this one, there’s no room for anything that isn’t contextual. Pics can’t always be arranged that way.
They were worried about ol’ Sarge. Not everyone transitions well to civilian life. After his war wound, Ol’ Sarge made a success of himself in sales. Yecch.

The tenth section WAS well-groomed when I walked it . . .
Herr DParticipantThey were worried about ol’ Sarge. Not everyone makes the transition to civilian life. But after his war wound, he started doing surprisingly well in — sales? huh.

Ol’ Sarge, the Agrobot sales — thing. eewww . . .
Herr DParticipantI’d wondered about some poll results too– You know, one way to handle multiple winners would be to judge in more than one category. Best overall content, best posing, best color scheme, etc. Or in theory you could have a separate poll for ‘second favorite.’ Might be more work? Or maybe the power of a computer would make near duplication of effort easy? Do we have a Polldaddy expert in the community?

Herr DParticipantThat meekness was what grabbed me. Trying not to destroy a bridge might mean she’d have to wade UNDER it. Interesting challenge not just for the pose, but the way a person changes their facial expression. It looks like I won’t finish my second revision, so:

By the way, as an interesting point on the subject of hugeness, somebody messed up a link advertising on one of these headers. You can enter a contest with your “cute kid 12′ ” !! Only twelve-foot-tall cute kids?! Zoinks! [yeh, they meant ’12]
Herr DParticipantWell! I might suggest that everyone who has a list item made for them on the SantaSwap is obligated to make, after calling dibs on it, something. In hm3, following hm3 rules, with text, on someone’s list or the closest they can manage within six calendar days of logging back on and finding it. Or something of quality hand-drawn with the appropriate begging and pleading that dblade or Jeff trace, alter, upload, etc. if they are willing. That way I can guarantee my own participation and throw out the insecurity that anyone might feel, including possibly my own. [looks around to see if anybody caught that with great suavity and debonairness and subtleation. And poisehood!]
Herr DParticipantThank you, AP. My first intention was to make them dragons, but then I realized those dinosaurs were already posed — and the next thing I knew, dragons were no longer important to the story. You know what? I was actually more surprised that I may have beaten Watson to making a neon sign. His backgrounds reel me in as much as most peoples’ characters. What do you feel is the most challenging background to make? Answer here or PM.
Herr DParticipantSomeone made a wish that “things were different,” and was instantly transported to an alternate timeline.
That person is now somewhere where things are different.
The first thing seen from the cell:http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u438/jamais5/hm3/SlaveLicenseIssue.jpg
About the best news he has here is that bureaucracy really is “the only constant in the universe.” Hopefully this little licensing issue will be resolved shortly.

Herr DParticipantI really don’t like most guns very much, but the Mauser A1 Air Rifle with the canister-loading alternate ammo system and modified stock can actually contain and regulate small amounts of anesthetic that wear off on impact. Perfect for our situation depicted here, where our model Scaryface is responding to aggressive introductions to the Pachydermi family formerly of Palermo.

Oh! And the B-E-10 Collector by Mauser, Inc. is pretty impressive, too. Shown below right doing a search through the grass for more — it has compatible canisters! Sold by Tom’s Entertainment Center located on Sketchpad Avenue just down the way!

Herr DParticipantNow if that doesn’t just grab ya.
IT’S CAPTAIN GENERIC!!!! Able to reduce the most ingenious, innovative, and unpredictable evil scheme into a cliche that ordinary police can handle, this superhero–
doggone useful team member!
Herr DParticipantThis was my entry for dblade’s Neurotica (great name.) If anyone looks mad and, well, mad–it’s probably her.

Herr DParticipantCongrats to djuby. This was fun, dblade. See you all in #2.

Herr DParticipantMechanics questions for you dblade: If she’s holding something heavy and jumps, she basically needs to dodge the item, drop the item, or react quickly as she touches down? And, by touching the ground, shoes or artificial flooring, or being above a basement don’t cause a problem, do they? Helps my imagination to center.
Herr DParticipantOh, and a public service message on the general subject of induced madness. I showed this concept to someone on their way to a bar. He hadn’t started drinking yet. He said it looked good and would try it if he saw it . . . Um . . . so — watch the drinking on the holidays. We all want to keep seeing your work.

–and all those of you who believe in fates worse than death, be even more careful?
I thought of making a bumper sticker in the past — “Think and THRIVE” but I’ve been assured that it would never sell.
