hawk007ParticipantAll the characters are really cool, and love the costumes and back stories are awesome! But, if I could give one but of advice, I’d say that they all look really similar. Maybe try experimenting with different poses, and maybe try shading? Just a suggestion. I love the characters.
hawk007ParticipantHaha, thanks, Stulte!
hawk007ParticipantReactor. Started out as a remake of an old character, but kinda went astray.

hawk007ParticipantJust save the picture, and click “Browse” below the text editor, and select it.
hawk007ParticipantHe is simply known as Void. A scourge throughout the galaxy, anyone who comes in contact with him meets and untimely end. Getting his power from the farthest reaches of outer space (hence his name), it is said that he poses the power of the afterlife itself.

hawk007ParticipantJust saw Sun Warrior and Heavy Unit Turtle Shell.
Those are freakin’ amazing!
hawk007ParticipantOkay, I just had an idea. So, know how next year is the summer Olympics? What if, during the weeks around then, we have a heromachine olympics. So, for a few weeks before, we’d have a list of, say, maybe the best 20 machiners on here. Over that time, people can vote for who they think is the top ten. Then, when it starts, the first top ten (or whatever number) compete in hero machine skill games. Like character design contests, but only they can enter, and it’s things like shading, posing, costume design, best overall, etc. There’d be a group of 3-5 moderators/trusted members that would be the judges for the submissions, and there’d be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place character. At the end, the person who did the best get’s first, person who did the second best get’s second, etc. I think that would be awesome, to be able to see the best machiners in an epic battle, creating the best characters they can. At least I think it’d be cool.
hawk007ParticipantHow long have you been doing this?
hawk007ParticipantI couldn’t think of anything for the Do a Thing contest (surprisingly), and so, since I don’t have a lot of time, I just decided to make some weird, simplistic thing (for once). BTW, it’s wallpaper size, so to look at it at the right size, right click “view picture”.

hawk007ParticipantThanks, guys! Unfortunately, it was a new character. I have, like, 7 characters that are laying around that are ready except for shading.
hawk007ParticipantCenturion. That name strikes fear into the people of the future. It’s the title given to a select few of the world military. They hunt down any who they are ordered to. And they do not fail.
I wasn’t sure which size was best, so I just did 500×750 and a widescreen (you have to be logged in to see the widescreen).

hawk007ParticipantCongrats on being on Malai being in the Hall of Fame. Not sure if you have been before (wouldn’t doubt it), but the character was really awesome.
hawk007ParticipantNice posing! The only thing I’d say is change his left arm a bit. The way you have it almost makes it look like it’s hers.
Also, just FYI based on the title, make a gallery, instead of a topic for single character. Then have all your characters in one place.
Welcome to heromachine (I’m assuming)!
hawk007ParticipantOh, haha. No problem.
hawk007ParticipantNot exactly sure what you mean. Do you mean how I made it glow, or what? If that’s what you’re asking, a glow effect is pretty easy. You take the pattern that you use for shading, make the line and prime color transparent, and second color the glow color. Then you make it just a little bigger than the thing you’re trying to make glow. BTW, when you do that, use the pattern that’s darker in the middle. This allows the outside to be transparent.
If that’s not what you meant, sorry. Thanks, though!
