hawk007ParticipantThank you so much! That is awesome! Sorry I forgot the name. It’s Aphelion.
hawk007ParticipantI love these characters! Not only because they are good, but because they are very original.
hawk007ParticipantI love these characters. I don’t totally agree with how Hades looks on page 1, but I think they are very cool characters
hawk007ParticipantVery cool characters! And thanks!
hawk007ParticipantCool character! The only thing is that I think you may be uploading them too big. But good job!
hawk007ParticipantHow about trying one of mine (if this is still open, that is).
hawk007ParticipantHere’s mine. I could have, but I decided not to zyp or do something too complicated.
hawk007ParticipantIs this still open?
hawk007ParticipantHmmm…I guess I’ll choose the winner now. After this, though, there will be another round (I don’t know how long this will last). Remember, you can submit ones you’ve submitted before if they haven’t won.
So, the winner is….
Linea24’s Wizard (her first one on the second page).
In second is grahasc’s Magic Orb Guy. And third is JDJ2508’s Life Guardian.
Congrats!
hawk007ParticipantI’m confused as to the challenge. What are you asking? Are you asking for us to give you our characters? I have a few that I’m not using, but I wouldn’t really classify them as monsters.
hawk007ParticipantSorry, I’ve been very busy. Should I say the winner now, and start round 3 (if anyone wants to) or should I wait a little bit longer?
hawk007ParticipantGood start! The proportions are right, and I think that the character is pretty good. The only thing is that I don’t get what she’s holding. Anyway, good character. I would just advice you not to try to do “one character a week.” I’m not saying it’s too much. I mean, I could probably do 1 a day. I’m just saying, do it at whatever pace feels right. Don’t feel like you have to do one each week. Do more, do less, do whatever you want. I’m just saying, you don’t have to stick to the schedule.
But, it doesn’t really matter. The point is, that I think your character is a good start, and I hope you continue.
hawk007ParticipantGood start. The characters are very good for your first. You used background well, and the poses are good. There is only one piece of advice that I would give that you won’t learn with experience: unless you want it this way, the heads are too big. But great start, and I look forward to seeing more of it!

Thanks for pointing out that section of the forums, HerrD. I’d never really spent much time there.
Well, I decided to go with a colonial/pirate-y scene… about all I learned from it is to never do back-lighting
I feel like it just came out looking dirty, but I spent a good bit of time on it so I wanted to put it up here.

Though I don’t think it will, I think this is good enough for being in the hall of fame. I mean, it’s detailed, somewhat original, a big picture, good lighting, good use of items. It just has everything. I don’t know if it necessarily will, but I do like it very much.

Hey, ams? I was wondering something. I know it isn’t something you would usually do, but could you possibly do an interpretation of one of my characters?
Show me what you got. I can’t promise it will be quick. Quite busy with family/work these days.
Thanks! This is one of my best guys. Though it doesn’t really compare to any of yours, so I wanted to see what your version might look like.
