hawk007ParticipantFor the second question, yes.
For the first question. There’s a fancy way of adding shading and highlights that’s called Zypping around here. It’s named that after an old user called Zyp, who was the master. Anyway, I think this is zypping. Just go in the patter items. Not the section when you’re editing an item, but actual section of items called Patterns. Go to the last page. You will see two circle fading things. One is darker in the middle and light on the outside, and the other way around for the the other one. Choose the one that’s darker in the middle. When it’s on the “field”, make the first color totally transparent so you can’t see it. Make the second color whatever you need it to be to shade or light something. Then place it over it, and resize it. As an example, I put my character Scorp, and an unshaded version of him. With the shading and lighting, all it is is doing what I told you. With the armor, I just had gold armor, then made the second color on the patter a lighter color then the armor.
Also, welcome to the forums! Hope you have fun!

hawk007ParticipantVery cool! They’re all very cool and original. I’d say my favorite so far would be Baron. Very unique (though they all are).
hawk007ParticipantI’m not entirely sure why none of yours have appeared in the hall of fame. To be completely honest, I’m just going to say that you aren’t the best here. But the hall of fame is to show what some of the best have made, so some new people might go there to see what’s possible. You have a completely unique style, and it just seems (to me) like it would make sense to have at least one there, to show some verity. I mean, they have portraits, abstract, characters, and a few different styles already.
hawk007Participantyou got it Hawk
That’s awesome! I knew it would look good in your style.
hawk007ParticipantVery awesome characters!
hawk007ParticipantEmber
Alias:Ember
Real Name:Julia Steiner
Place of Origin:Vienna, Austria
First Appearance:2007
Status:DangerousWhen she was 8, Julia Steiner’s burned down. She was caught in the fire as it burned down. She was consumed by it. Everyone died except for her. In America, there were doctors that had come up with an experimental process to save people that were close to dying. She was saved, but something strange happened. She somehow could control fire. At first it was hard, and she was out of control, and left to live on the streets of Manhattan. But she soon learned to control it, and she even learned to create fire. At 19, she started defending Manhattan from criminals, to defend the place that saved her. She soon became Ember. She is a close friend of Phantom, and he’s kind of her mentor.
I have two pictures. One is the original, one is the newer.

hawk007ParticipantIt’s awesome to look at all of these characters listening to “The Battle” from Narnia. Totally fits.
hawk007ParticipantHow did you get a full picture?
hawk007ParticipantHmmmmm. I’ve got a couple new ones, but I won’t bother you by posting multiple. Here’s one. With your style, I think he’ll look pretty cool.

Ok, I didn’t win a contest or anything, but I have a good idea for something that I think a lot of people could use. I would have found it helpful, and I think it would go great with a lot of characters.
I just got a picture from assassin’s creed because that’s all I could think of (I don’t actually play it). Pretty much, just a hood that goes down over someone’s eyes. It wouldn’t have that shadow-y part that some hoods do that cover the eyes.
I think this would be great for mysterious characters. It would also look really good for the head tilted down.
So, thoughts?how does this look? (rough sketch kinda)

Sorry, the picture won’t show up, and when I try to view it, it says page not found.
