MaazParticipantPretty nice idea about Reed! I think it’s really cool how most of these characters are pretty realistic, with realistic stories, till the second they get strange new powers. Awesome stories!
MaazParticipantOkay… suddenly I’m sort of worried about having been born under cancer…
MaazParticipantAce Adams was an ordinary man, an accountant to be precise. He was on a vacation in Tibet, when he witnessed the death of the immortal being known as WÄ›idà de zhà nshì at the hands of his brother, Yuèlià ng dÄopià n. As his brother left him bleeding his energy in the cold snow, WÄ›idà de zhà nshì sensed the presence of a mortal nearby. Calling Ace to him, he proceeded to bestow all of his remaining strength to the young man, telling him to find and defeat Yuèlià ng dÄopià n, before the later could exploit his absece and wreck havoc on Earth. Thus Ace gained superstrength, and the ability to fly. His skin also grew tough enough to resist bullets, and he could now see other phenomina hidden to the eyes of most mortals. He continues to find and defeat Yuèlià ng dÄopià n, while also having joined the Ultronic Alliance and adopting the alias of the Protector.
MaazParticipantOkay, you have some epic mythology ideas going around! Awesome work on Windmaker, too.
MaazParticipantWow, thanks!
Now, here is the root of all their troubles… the Doctor!
Little to none is known about this man. His real name, place of birth, and appearence are all unknown. He speaks with a slight British accent, but seeing that he also adopts other accents at times, any ties to Britain are dubious at best. He has no powers of his own, but is a genius, with an IQ of 193. He also has a near perfect memory, and the mental activity to play five chess games simultaneously in his mind, calculating all possible outcomes of every move in every game. Always secretive, he became even more so after the break out led by Hammerhand. He is currently busy in a private war against the Watchers.
MaazParticipantKathy Blake was a young girl brought up in Kansas. When she was 16, she was kidnapped by the Doctor, like so many others. Over the course of various experiments, her skin grew bloodred, and her hands grew tougher, and soon her now black bones began to split out of them. SHe had no doubt any more treatment would have killed her, but after the mass escape from the Lab, she managed to survive. She informed Derek Winter on the captivity of his sister. Some time later, now a member of the Watchers, Derek offered her membership. She agreed after some thought. She gained the nickname ‘Rocky’ among the Watchers, because of her rock-like hands.
MaazParticipantAs an egypt geek, I’m pretty happy about this very interesting and unique take on the Egyption Panthion. Amazing work on all of them, and Nut and Geb have the coolest hologram effects I’ve seen in use. Awesome!
MaazParticipantDerek Winter was the heir of Winter Industries. However, he and his sister were telepaths. Too ashamed to admit it, Derek Snr. forbade them to use their powers in public. While Derek obeyed his father, his sister, Alyssa, once used her abilities to save a drowning class mate during a fieldtrip in 9th grade. She attracted the interest of the Doctor, who had her abducted. She was one of the few ‘experiments’ unable to escape when Hammerhand collapsed the Lab’s security. Derek Winter, now managing Winter Industries on his own, had always assumed his sister had died, because that was what his father told him. However, when an escaped experiment named Kathy, Alyssa’s only friend in the Lab, informed him that she was infact a prisinor to the Doctor, Derek vowed to find his sister. When he heard tidings of the Watchers, he contacted them. They eventually replied in positive. He and a few other telepaths continuously use their minds to try and locate the Doctor, or someone who may know his location.
MaazParticipantI agree with CantDraw, that glowing effect on surge is pretty awesome!
MaazParticipantThanks!
MaazParticipantI officially LOVE death’s pose and the overall appearence, but Korin Thos looks slightly awkward. Only slightly, mind you. Maybe his left hand should be behind his left leg? That would look more natural, as if he’s being seen from an angle.
MaazParticipantOk, that’s one crazy hypnosis lady you definately do NOT want to mess with.
MaazParticipantQuinn Liefield was born as a mutant, being fireproof, with glowing red eyes, and horrificly disfigured skin. He lived his life in ridicule, and soon set out to become normal. He approached the Doctor himself to heal him, but the Doctor was intrigued by the mutation, and tried to exploit it. These experiments drove Quinn partially insane, and his hate and pain changed his powers, so the greater pain he felt, the stronger he would become. When the other experiments escaped, he too ran away. He eventually became more sane, and devised a helm that would provide greater pain directly to his mind, boosting his strength. He adopted the name ‘Painspawn’ and tried to find the Doctor to inflict vengeance, but failed. When offered a chance to join the Watchers, he immediately agreed. He is one of the most determined members of the team.
MaazParticipantOuch…. I’d hate to see the state of his bed…
MaazParticipantAnother member of The Watchers, Mystic!
This cheerful and bright individual is the holder of massive power, bestowed by the Riddler sometime during the French Revolution. Effectively immortal, the Riddler foretold that his power would be tested when a man would arrive from the future, holding hope for humanity. When Kale arrived, Mystic realized this was the man mentioned in the prophecy, and pledged him his alliegence. He is capable of unleashing ancient and powerful spells, and is responsible from shielding The Watchers’ various safehouses from magical detection from various magi and sorcerors. He wields the fabled Shadowbane, a staff once wielded by the infamous sorcerors of the Inca civilization.
