Great characters, Funkmachine! I’m a big fan of the ‘era’ your making a lot of these characters from. Well done on all the characters I’ve seen so far.

I was wondering if the way the Hoplites are standing if that is a hint at their ‘phalanx’ tactics?

To be honest that’s just the easiest way to fit them in shot.
The idea of an era does appeal to me but some of them are vaguely historical, most the one’s of Genovefa which is meant to be set around 60 AD but just because there’s Romans in it.

And Sveirj the viking, well a viking.

Scale Mail. Great use of armor. Is she a fawn with those hooves?

Kind of, well she pretending to be a horse.
Basically it part of the horse nomads myths.
There for ever trying to hide there footstep from the ground so that the earth god can’t find them.
They use horse hoofs as part of a deal with the horse god.

    Emaile with hostage.
Kewl story and illustration for it. I SO wouldn’t want her after me.

I wouldn’t her after me ether she not normal that woman…

Thanks, that’s exactly what she did in story.
But her armours always been an anti sterotype to the half naked barbarians in fiction, i mean did shivering tall the time make conan muscle so big? how does red sonya “armour” protect her from exposure let alone weapons?

So i went for fur, lots of it and some non-metal armour in keeping with the theme of her liveing in a low metal area.

    Now have some Hoplites

Thank you both for the comments, it’s always nice to get some feed back.

This last set is great. I love the striped warrior and the roman looking warrior. Both look like they belong on a battlefield and would definitely defeat me, which to be honest, would be fairly easy.

I was aiming for more Greek hoplite, oddly i started with the boots/ hoofs and then added in so normality.
The skirt of scale armour was time consumeing, all the resizeing.

Another art piece for A trip to the northern reaches.
Amalie finally gets some trousers like a proper barbarian lady.

    Emaile with hostage.

Emaile Le Mort moved slowly, creeping from tombstone to tombstone in the low fog.
She had to get closer, draw there eye to her so Dominic could reach the girl.
She leap in to action, grabbing the last cultist by neck and jamming her pistol in to her face.

“HALT! STAY WHERE YOU ARE! “she shouted.
The leader turned and pulled a gun from under his robes, Emaile dived for cover, tossing the hostage aside.

Her shotgun roared back, scattering them as Dominic dashed to the alter.
Another final shotgun blast and she pulled out her second pistol.

The twin 357 magnums barked fire and death as woman and Dominic ran in to fog.

With a click the revolvers ran dry and Emaile started to load the shotgun.

The sound of a blade scarping out from a scabbard made her turn.

It was the homunculus, with inhuman speed she thrust her sword in to Emaile.
The cold steel blade pieced in to her chest.

    “Ow you stabbed me.
This is my favourite top! and you ruined it!.” Emaile looked down at the sword hanging from her chest.

The homunculus woman looked at her shocked as Emaile seemed to be more concerned about her shirt than the sword.

“Oh your still wondering why i’m not dead yet?
Well your not the only one.
Now if you put down that sword we can talk, you have a lot of questions don’t you?”…

This was first attempt at putting both Amalie and Iarrarl in one pick.

note that i’ve missed off Amalie ears and left the necklace on the wrong level.
