Dionne JinnMemberThanks. Here is slightly changed version following Jeff’s advice during the OCD.
Dionne JinnMemberThis version just went up to ODC#49:
Dionne JinnMemberThanks for the help, Atomic. I had successfully forgotten we had that female arm… Using it did a world of difference. Thanks a million. Thanks to you too, Harlequin.
And I really should finally do their faces properly, as those empty eyes creep the hell out of me…
Dionne JinnMemberHere is an updated version of Marianna and Yanez having a walk. The hand/arm thing is still my main issue with it. Now Marianna’s arm looks more like a tentacle… And their faces are still not finished.
Dionne JinnMemberI’ll tell you my secret. I have an “anchor” background with a simple floor and two bottles, one set to each end of the area which will exported so I know where the edges are. As so:
I have a text file for it, and when starting to work on a new image, I always upload it first so I know where the edges are going to be. Then I build the background on top of it.
Dionne JinnMemberSandokan and the rest of the stuff is based on this wonderful Italian adventure novel Sandokan – The Tigers of Mompracem by Emilio Salgari. I’m simply drawing scenes described in it.
Dionne JinnMemberI’ve started working on another Sandokan themed image. This has Marianna and Yanez (Sandokan’s friend posing as an English soldier) walking together in a garden and talking about Sandokan. He has gallantly offered his arm to the lady, but I’m not sure if the posing of the hands is convincing. Any help would be appreciated. Yanez’s legs also have some posing problems.
Oh yeah, and it is still a work in progress what comes to their faces and other details, so yes, I know they look weird…
Dionne JinnMemberThanks, Weilyn. I just checked the number of layers in the updated picture and it reads 215! That has got to be my record…
Dionne JinnMemberThanks. I still went a head and edited the image. This is the updated version of the same scene:
Dionne JinnMemberThanks. It is good to be back and to know I haven’t “lost my touch”
Dionne JinnMemberThanks Trekkie and Vampyrist!
Dionne JinnMemberThanks, Legatus. I tend to put a lot of effort into making the backgrounds.
Dionne JinnMemberHammers
Dionne JinnMemberIf my previous absense was “far too long”, I don’t know what this has been… I’ve been gone for ages!
I’m drawing Sandokan stuff again. Here is an image of Marianna. It is still a work in progress, but I would appreciate comments on it.

Dionne JinnMemberI cannot stop kicking myself for not entering last saturday’s pop quiz. Geez! Anyway, here is a seascape I made. A slightly different version of it was used in my most resent Sandokan picture (here)…
