DiCicatrizParticipantEstrela looks pretty cool too! Gives me a Booster Gold vibe. I see a famous actor/entertainer type using a tech suit to revitalize his public image as a super-hero
I agree with Zed about the green dragons although maybe shrink the proportions of the flag a little and raise it up on the y-axis so it doesn’t completely overtake the transparent dragons.
DiCicatrizParticipant[nerdout] That is soooo gnarly!!! I’m loving the ambiguous gender on this character. They remind of something out of Dr. Who or Torchwood. I seriously cannot stress enough how much I love this concept. [/nerdout.]
DiCicatrizParticipantVery cool! You can definitely see a progression from Valor I to Valor II. Love the insignia on II. Definitely an upgrade
DiCicatrizParticipantGreat designs! Very otherworldly. I know you were trying to steer clear of the Pokemon references, but I can’t help but look at this trio as an iteration of Legendary Pokemon for a more contemporary version of the series.
They usually come in trios, there are always two or three controlling a certain aspect of reality/nature, and a third/fourth super powerful one that is supposed to balance/control them all. (ie: Kyogre & Groudon with Rayquaza, the Three Birds and Lugia, the Three Beasts and Ho-Oh, the Three Dragons and Arceus, etc.)
So while the cosmic/alien concept is very cool and I especially love the way Galactivus turned out, I can definitely see these guys existing within the Poke-realm. By the way this is in no way a criticism at all! I love me some Pokemon.
DiCicatrizParticipantWell not to be on a one-track mind or anything… but today is a very important day! If you hadn’t seen the news the Supreme Court of the United States chose to both strike down section three of the Defense of Marriage Act (essentially allowing the federal government to recognize and grant benefits to same-sex marriages nationwide) and uphold the decision to overturn Proposition 8, allowing same-sex marriages to resume in California (my home state!)
So if you’re wondering what the hell this has to do with HM3, I used the platform in conjunction with an invitation generator to make a handy save-the-date now that my partner and I can be legally wed. So, it may not mean as much to others, but today was a great day for me
DiCicatrizParticipantIt’s already a really solid design. I wouldn’t change too much. I think if you shade her like your other designs and give her skin that robotic/metallic effect, that alone would be enough to push her into the realm of the more super-heroic. I think it might be a cool effect to have her look just completely like a classic 50’s starlet who just happens to have glorious golden skin! Sort of an ordinary/extra-ordinary juxtaposition thing.
You could always add a pop of color or a pattern texture to her garments to give it some more flair, like on her belt or the bow on her neckline.
DiCicatrizParticipantCosmic
DiCicatrizParticipantThanks! Glad you liked them
A quick one. Playing around with gradients and masking, tried to make a more ethereal form of Eidolon’s original astral form.
DiCicatrizParticipantAmazing! The background is great and the wind effects are siiiiiick.
DiCicatrizParticipantNice job on the posing with the companion animals! They all fit around her very well.
DiCicatrizParticipantBig sister, Vixen. Super agile and deadly quick blades master.
DiCicatrizParticipantThe littlest of the Fu family, used mainly for recon and stealth missions. Viper!
DiCicatrizParticipantThe inspiration gods have been blessing me mainly at work, so in the meantime have some re-designs. In this case I’m updating a concept I had for the Martial Artist contest way back when: The Family Fu! No major backstory here, I just thought a family of martial arts adventurers (like a non-powered the Incredibles) would be kind of neat.
Originals:
Mother Fu (Shen Long)
Father Fu (Lao Hu)
Kids to follow
DiCicatrizParticipantSWAT looks badass! Love the armor and the coloring is impeccable
DiCicatrizParticipantI LOVE those nails. Nicely done
