AH! I didn’t think I could love moon bears anymore! Love the energy crescents sticking out from his arms. A grand tip of the creative hat to you, sir (…or ma’am… or the non-gender specific pronoun of your choice… I don’t like to make assumptions.)

I don’t know how I missed American Girl! She’s amazing!

She might just be my favorite HM3 illustration… like… ever. Just the pose, the face, the outfit, the shading… Amaaazing!

If that’s your self-portrait, remind me never to tick you off. I’d like to avoid a fireball to the face!

Thanks! Poor Kid Chaos indeed. I don’t intend to be mean to my characters… it just always ends up that way somehow.

As for Roshana, I almost posted her without the ‘halo’, but the energy effects in the self-portrait you just posted were very inspiring :D

Swift’s redesign is astonishing! I’m assuming you used a solid color background or insignia to cover up the joints, but regardless of how you did it, the seamless contours really make the outfit special :D The semi-transparent skirt is a nice touch too. Nice work :)

    He’s fabulous! :D

Although, the burning question in this case would be: Is his skunk power, um… anatomically accurate?

Thanks! I’ve always been fascinated by mythology and my spouse actually has some Nahua family in Mexico, hence the pre-occupation with the Meso-American deities.

NOTE: removing certain characters from my thread for personal reasons, some replies moving forward might not make the most sense. Apologies for the confusion. – DiCicatriz in 2020

Love the color scheme on Redwood, makes him Earthy without going over the top. Nice!

Can I throw in some suggestions for Debbie’s superpowers?

    – Spontaneous clothes evaporation!
    – Supergratuitous nudity powers!
    – Invisibility projection that only works on cloth!
    – Teleportation that never works on cloth!

In all seriousness, love the shading on her! Also I love a good creepy character and Milkman is very much so :D

    @The Atomic Punk said:

Really like Mictiz’ mask and transitional wing effects! I’ve always wondered, though. What did hummingbirds do that the Aztecs associate them with war? The must be ferocious when agitated. We’re talking about a Meso-American empire that sacrificed humans cowering at some little buzz bomber!

Huitzilopochtli translates roughly from Nahuatl to: “Hummingbird of the Left” although I’m unsure of whether the association is derived from the name or vice versa.

As far as the sacrifice to what seems like a tiny little bird, Aztec deities actually had many aspects assigned to them and Huitzilopochtli was a solar deity as well as a war god. He was mostly depicted as a towering humanoid figure with a jet black face, bright hummingbird feathers everywhere, and wielding the Xiuhcoatl (which is the to say a giant snake made of fire) as his weapon. If somebody like that showed up and told you to get sacrificin’… you’d best get sacrificin’ http://www.heromachine.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

Amazing as always! Love the abs. Took me a second to figure it out, but they’re very well done.
