Anyways, here’s my half of an art-swap with AMS. My take on his ATTACK TIGER! I’ll post it in his thread too, but gotta upload it here first.
Got stuck on the idea of doing something about the five senses so worked on some quick looks and this happened:
The 5 Senses
A team of government operatives and assassins. Each member of the team is technologically and physiologically enhanced. All of them possess enhanced durability/strength/stamina and accelerated reflexes/reaction time, but they have each specifically been altered in relation to one of their senses, granting them a unique powerset.
L to R: SCULPT, SNIFF, SCOPE, SONAR, SAVOR
Sculpt (aka Johnny) –Â His skin has been replaced with a highly durable material, a nanotech mesh that vibrates at a harmonic quantum frequency allowing Johnny to “touch” the fabric of reality. In this state, everything he touches becomes malleable. He can reshape any material with his hands as if it was clay (steel, glass, flesh, etc.).
Sniff (aka Jean) –Â His enhanced olfactory system can detect even the most subtle traces of a scent in the air, allowing him to track people or unique materials across vast distances. He can also uses his abilities to scent emotions off of people, through chemical changes in their body.
Scope (aka Jon) –Â Greatly enhanced eyesight: telescopic vision, microscopic vision. He can see into the infrared and ultraviolet edges of the visual spectrum and at extreme focus can he begins to see several seconds into the future, allowing him to predict opponents’ moves.
Sonar (aka John) –Â His ears can detect the slightest vibrations in the air in his immediate vicinity. He can hear vocal and heartbeat modulations for interrogation purposes. His vocal chords have been enhanced to generate deep ultrasound, allowing him to map out any environment.
Savor (aka Jann) – Possesses psychometric-gustatory perception. He can taste neurological energy, allowing him to instantaneously consume the memories of his targets. He can also uses this ability for identifying purposes as every individual possesses a unique psychic “flavor”.

HIDEYOSHI SATO & HIS WIFE
SHINING SAMURAI – Hideyoshi Sato – An incredibly accomplished superhero, empowered by a brilliant set of mystic armor and twin katanas. Together with Solarion, Hideyoshi was a founding member of the Honor Guard and a constant in its revolving roster. On one particular mission the Honor Guard came into contact with an insane archaeologist in possession of an incredibly powerful mystic artifact. When the artifact shattered the team found themselves scattered across the dimensions. Hideyoshi was stuck in a celestial plane, inhabited by the Kami of Japanese legend. There he met… her. She never gave him her name, but he was instantly in love with her. Solarion, with help from Tonantzin and other mystic consultants, found a way to retrieve his scattered teammates. For him, only a few days had passed, but for Hideyoshi, it had been years. When Solarion came to retrieve him, Hideyoshi was infused with mystic energy, far more powerful than he once was, and had three children with him: Ichiko, Megumi, and Hideki. The Kami urged Hideyoshi to take their children back to the mortal plane. She wanted them to experience the joys of the human experience: love, family, kindness. Leaving her hardened Hideyoshi’s heart, so despite having his children with him, he became distant and cold. Ichiko largely helped raise her siblings and grew up far too fast, as a way to cope with Hideyoshi’s long absences adventuring. His relationship with the three siblings remains somewhat strained.
KAMI – Unnamed – A celestial being who fell in love with a wayward human, Hideyoshi Sato. Together they had three children and raised them partly in her home dimension, before she took the opportunity to deliver them back to the mortal realm. She is a being of incalculable power, ageless, beautiful beyond compare. With most mortal interactions she wears a mask to hide her true radiance. Hideyoshi remains the only mortal to see her true form. She is able to visit her children only once a year, individually, on the day of their birth, in an astral form. She has never missed one of their birthdays.
Moving on with the Sato siblings and their chosen families, we have Ichiko Sato, Megumi’s older sister and the only one of her siblings not to pursue a superheroic calling in life.
ICHIKO & ANNA
ICHIKO – Ichiko Khan (nĂ©e: Sato) – The oldest of the Sato children, Ichiko spent her adolescence caring for her siblings, as their father was away much of the time searching for a way back to his beloved Kami. She has a very motherly relationship to Megumi and Hideki and is very devoted to their safety. Ichiko did not choose to follow her family’s penchant for super-heroics, and is now a high-powered ad exec. Ichiko is married to psychic therapist Khalid Dawar and together they have a teenage daughter, Anna Khan. Ichiko strongly disapproves Anna’s desire to become a super-hero, leading to a contentious relationship between them. From her mother, Ichiko was granted one of her divine aspects, becoming Master of Senses. She can even peer past the veils of our dimension and perceive otherworldly phenomena. As the oldest sister, her mother granted her an additional boon of superhuman strength and the ability to fly, to better protect her siblings.
GOSSIP – Anna Khan: Teenage daughter of Ichiko and Samir Khan, Anna has burgeoning telepathic abilities that have the potential to grow more powerful than her father’s. She wants to use these powers to protect the innocent and idolizes her aunt and uncle and their superhero careers.
SAMIR & TARIQ
SAMIR – Samir Khan: A vastly powerful telepath, Samir is a talented architect. Together with his telekinetic younger brother, Samir runs a unique architectural firm. Samir will read a client’s mind to determine their ideal living space, and once plans are agreed upon and construction materials gathered, Samir, the client, and his brother will enter a telepathic hive mind. Samir’s telepathic connection with the client feeds into his brother’s telekinetic abilities and that building will essentially construct itself. He is somewhat of an Architect of the Supers and specializes in building secure dwellings for superheroes and their families. Samir and his brother built Megumi’s house, which is how he initially met Ichiko. They fell in love, were married and had a beautiful daughter together. Their daughter Anna has expressed powerful telepathic abilities similar to his own, so Samir regularly coaches her in the use of her abilities.
TARIQ – Tariq Khan: Younger brother of Samir and uncle to Anna. He is a powerful telekinetic with very refined control of his powers. Tariq and his brother were orphaned during conflicts in their native Afghanistan, and used their nascent posthuman abilities to survive. Due to this trauma, Tariq abhors violence of any kind, he only wishes to use his abilities for creative endeavors. He supports Ichiko’s wish to keep Anna out of superheroics.
And nooooow CampeĂłns parents. What we refer to in Spanish as Hideki’s ‘suegros’.
CUAHTEMOC & TONANTZIN
TONANTZIN – Tonantzin Gonzalez: Mother to the Gonzalez siblings and wife of the superhero Cuahtemoc, she is a mejica mystic whose powers came naturally to her, through a deep empathic connection with the Earth. She is a wise and gentle soul and loves all of her children fiercely. Tonantzin naturally is more affectionate with Mauricio and is incredibly protective of him.
CUAHTEMOC – Rigoberto Gonzalez: The pinnacle of classic super heroic masculinity as Cuahtemoc, he championed the indomitable spirit of the luchador and dealt with criminals swiftly and decisively. His strength is unparalleled, even by the late Solarion, and his skill as a fighter is legendary. But as a father, Rigo has not always been a paragon of virtue. He had a hard time reconciling his machista reputation with CampeĂłn’s coming out and dealt even less successfully with Mauricio’s being born a powerless human. His relationship with his sons remains somewhat strained, but Tonantzin always makes sure Rigo shows them love in his own way.

YAOTL
YAOTL – Marcela Gonzalez: Daughter of Cuahtemoc and Tonantzin, middle child of the three Gonzalez Siblings. Marcela is also physically enhanced, not as strong as her brother CampeĂłn, but much more agile and far faster. She inherited some of her mother’s connection with the Earth. She can draw power from the planet itself, potentially amplifying her strength to a degree beyond her older brother’s, but this power wanes in areas of high pollution and urban centers. Marcel has a heavy-handed sense of humor and can come across as abrasive.
MAURICIO
MAURICIO – Mauricio Gonzalez: the youngest sibling. He was born physically human, no powers to speak of. He can perform his mother’s arts, but his body is not attuned to receive “the gift” and it physically hurts him to utilize magic. Mauricio has always had a bit of a self-esteem issue. CampeĂłn cares deeply for him, but Mauricio has a bit of self-destructive streak and keeps everyone at arms-length. He does get along very well with Hideki, precisely because his brother-in-law is one of the only people in his life not actively trying to “fix” him.
