it’s been requested for a review by Horror Writers Association who does the Bram Stoker Award, so I’m HOPPING ….

I’ve still been having dialysis on T, Th, and Sat, although it’s been taking a bit out of me more than usual lately.

Lot’s of in-law stuff,, a lot of my wife being taxi service for the nieces and nephews.

We have a new baby in the family, David Austin Lee Tombs

7lbs 11oz   20″  He and his grandmother Julie, our niece, has spent a few nights over, so I’ve got to hold him, rock him, lullaby him,  feed him, burp him, then give him to his grandmother to change him … All the perks of being a  great grand uncle LOL 😀

our niece April is pregnant again, it will be her 5th child.

Sadly we’ve had 2 recent deaths on that side of the family as well, Chris, Julies husband was only 34, he died in his sleep and Julie woke up beside him. the other death I believe was Julie’s step dad, I had never met the man,

but we have also been told a 16 year old great nephew JR, on that side of the family,  is going to be a father in 8 months and a week or so. We saw the ultrasound pic tonight under a beautiful super moon.

I have been gaming Pathfinder, which is new to me, I probably have mentioned this, since I’ve been playing since last of July, I ‘m pretty sure I’ve mentioned Aulos the Faun bard

Also placed a game of DC Superheroes, a Homo Magus named Ethan Eldridge aka Ethan Eldritch … later to become Professor Eldritch, if he lives that long.

also played World Of Darkness, playing Giles a Satyr, who is trying to retrieve a captured Rabbit Pooka friend named Tawny,  from a institution using Tawny’s blood on some mortal kids to give them psychic powers turning them into mages. Giles is pretending to be a hermaphrodite kid, to sway the male and females, named Blair to get revenge on the Doctor and steal the kids away into the Hedge before the kids get too much power.

I tried to stay happy and neutral on facebook during the hellascious election. Bad when you can’t vote for who you want, you just have to vote against who you REALLY don’t want.

I of course have done a bit of Hero Machining, and that is coming next.

I have been so whiped out from dialysis lately, I ws surprised I got this entry done.
My friend John mentioned the glare effect might overshadow the Wandering Woods and gritty sky, which I wondering if it hasn’t.
But I am glad it was all appreciated. I have concepts for Trinity’s storey based off thjs.

Atomic, my wife and I had you set for a win, such a good landscape
with the red foliage (particularly liked the red fern on the arcing rock formation), blue reptile and yellow fish swimming upstrem and the lovely sky, All quite lovely.
PS Atomic Punk, I agree. I loved Krull when I saw it as a kid. 🙂

I went to get Black Condor’s original info to post.
He’s not listed there now. I did a search on him, and it says he was 1940.
I KNOW I saw him on the 1939 Public Domain page, how else would I have seen him to do him.

Entry #1 – The Flame

OK Flame … Flamer … I HAD to go there.
Being one myself, I can do that 🙂

Real Name: Gary Preston, but now goes by Mary Preston

HISTORY
When Gary was a baby, his father Charles Preston worked as a missionary in China.
The elder Preston was washed away in a flood, but managed to save baby Gary by placing him in a basket.
The basket was washed downstream to Tibet, where Gary was rescued by a group of lamas.
They raised Gary in the lamasary, where they trained him in their mystical ways.
Through this training, Gary has super human strength.
He also obtained the ability to control and direct any fire and heat in his presence.
He can raise his own body temperature to point where he can burst into flames, or melt bullets.
He can also teleport from place to place by appearing inside of any fire source, no matter how small.
The Flame’s one weakness is water, which can severely weaken him.
He no longer needs a small, pistol-sized flame thrower to create flame..
When he reached adulthood, Gary returned to America to fight crime as The Flame
After Flame was injured battling the Octopus resulting from stress due to identity crisis he was feeling.
He started to wear makeup to become who he felt he truly was. and took on the name Mary Preston, While some called her the Flamer or Flame Girl, Mary just called herself The Flame as before.
She drives a vintage Firebird.

The Flame was the first hero trapped in Pandora’s Urn.
The Fighting Yank captured her during the Battle of Kokura.
Her power was needed to keep the other heroes alive within the Urn.
After the Urn was broken, the Flame reappeared in Los Angeles.
In a panic and momentarily unable to control her powers, she inadvertently started a wildfire that caused the Hollywood sign to catch fire.
The fire was put out by the returning Hydro.
Hydro, the Flame and Pyroman battled Dynamic Boy in a brief encounter that resulted in Pyroman electrocuting Dynamic Boy.
As the trio was about to be arrested, they were found by the Green Lama and other heroes.
