Since I went Sci Fi/Noir for London Fog, I researched Noir, found out it’s not JUST what I thought it was.
But decided I should start watching some Noir Movies.
So finally, for the first time ever I watched the Maltese Falcon.
I never avoided it, just never ran across it. But found a link, (Thanks John!) and watched it.
I really liked it, and was surprised a young Peter Lorre was actually kinda cute back then.

That was when I decided I wanted private detective Cyrus McCloud to have a receptionist .. ahem “assistant”
So started building a Lorre-esqe guy.
I wanted him to be a bit dapper, fastidious and slightly effeminant as Lorre’s character was.

I personally think my HM3 character looks pretty darn handsome.
He is in the office of McCloud Investigations.

And even though Peter Lorre’s Joel Cairo was a criminal,
I decided to pay him homage and named the character

Lawrence Peters.

Yeah, I am a bad one for pun names. Drives my friend John crazy!
Not sure if you caught Cyrus – cirrus (as in cloud type) and McCloud as a name for a fog character.

His father Tate comes from wind god or Spirit in Lakota mythology. There are four primary wind spirits, referenced in relation to the four directions. It is thought that the wind unites “all” in one spirit, and that eagles, who stand on the wind, are the carrier of vision. Tate is said to guide one through obstacles.

The fleshy spot on Wendy is a place of exposed skin I missed from the one-click companion of the hoodie girl in knee pants under all the tweaking.

Wendy Gale had developed a huge crush on
She wrote fan letters,
they met, they dated, they fell in love, got married and had a child

Named their child Cyrus

As a kid Cyrus Cyrus tended to help the underdog

Cyrus become a cop,

his partner is killed.

he wants to get the guys involved
but laws red tape prevents it.
so he decides to quit the force and do it on his own

While on trying to find his partner’s muderer there was a
Museum robbery
The robbers gunned down the guards
shattering many displays
only thing that seemed to be missing was an ancient Grecian bronze horn.
Looking through the glass, pottery, broken statues and fragments Cyrus found an intact wind chime
as he ran a finger across it it rang out a clear tinkling sound and suddenely there was a wind whipping around Cyrus.
he could see misty forms of winged women speaking with beautiful voices that he was chosen to get back the missing horn, and to do this he was going to be given gifts to help him. Cyrus saw smoke leak from his coat, thinking he was on fire he patted himself down only to discover he wsa turning into fog. The voices told him not to be afraid he could control his form, and the atmoshere around his with the strength of his mind and will. He literally pulled himself together and got the hell out of there.

It took a bit of experimenting to figure out what he could do and how, but he soon got the hang of it.

He got on the track of the robbers of the museum unable
to let the guard’s death go unresolved.

He discovered the chimes were Chimes Of The Aurai
the Aurai being the Greek winged nymphs of the breezes.
Cyrus wanted to see it again, but the curator was sad to say the Greek government insisted on its treasures back, and it was already gone.

Cyrus eventually caught the theif/muderer, using his new
Fog powers, but the Horn had been sold.

Gets a liscense
rents an office
becomes a private investigator

He has been on the trail of the Horn for some years now.

He has learned that it is King Aiolos’ Bronze Horn of the Anemoi

Unfortunatly realizing it too is a magic item and give its owner control over the winds, and the owner know is the super villian Typhoon!

With help from his sensai and family he soon was an expert n chock holds, sleeper holds, incapacitator holds, paralyzing strikes, vital area hits, missile deflection and weapon breaker
strikes.

Didn’t feel like this was enough of Martial Arts/ Super Hero.
Could just be considered a Martial Artist.

I always loved Trice my Triceratops Marine.
so thought I would update him for this contest.
You think of Triceratos all gentle beheomoth vegetarion and pasicistic,
but Trice has a temper when it comes to protecting what he holds dear.

But JR said War/Sci Fi wasn’t an acceptable option, and not sure what other genre with Sci Fi this would be a mash up of. So didn’t post it.
